[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is gorgeous!
Here are my thoughts on your list:
Girls-
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]-I’m guessing that you’re not in the U.S. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] isn’t very popular at all over here. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is not my very favorite, but it’s kind of fun. [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] & [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] do go nicely together. I like the nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f] for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], but [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] & [name_f]Millie[/name_f] are obviously too close.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]-I adore this. It’s so spunky & charmingly vintage. It doesn’t go great w/[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]. They sort of start w/the same sound. I don’t think it’s too too close though. And I love the nn [name_f]Livy[/name_f]. So so cute.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]-This is fine w/[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]. I just don’t love it. Not sure why. The sound isn’t that pretty to me, & I think that I’m in the minority.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]-Aw, I love this. It’s pretty & smart like [name_f]Amelie[/name_f].
[name_f]Edie[/name_f]-I think that this could be cute as a nn w/big sister [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], but it’s way too nick-namey on its own. [name_f]Edith[/name_f] is sweet, but I really like [name_f]Eudora[/name_f] nn [name_f]Edie[/name_f] w/[name_f]Amelie[/name_f].
[name_f]Margaux[/name_f]-I generally prefer [name_f]Margot[/name_f], but this spelling works nicely w/the [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]. It actually makes me like the name more!
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]-Aw, I like this. It’s sweet, kind, & has a little flair. It’s simple yet not over done. At least not in my neck of the woods. It goes really well w/[name_f]Amelie[/name_f].
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]/[name_f]Nell[/name_f] (either as a nickname or on its own?)-I love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]! It’s on the top of my list. It’s the perfect balance of boldness & elegance. I think that [name_f]Nell[/name_f] is better as a nn. [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nell[/name_f] are also options.
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]-I can see the appeal, but it seems a bit lacking as a full name. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] nn [name_u]Billie[/name_u] is kind of cute. It seems like a different style from [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] though.
Boys-
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]-This is cute w/[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]. I don’t care much for it though. Not sure why. I think that it’s just a little too cute.
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]-Ooh, this is cool. I like it for you. It’s handsome & a little bit mysterious.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]-I love this! It’s so simple & handsome. Sounds like a really gentle guy. Is that okay that it’s so close to [name_u]June[/name_u]? I also love [name_m]Julian[/name_m] nn [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] & [name_m]Julian[/name_m] would be great together.
[name_m]Bastian[/name_m]-I really really like this. It’s even cooler than [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]; which is also good. [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] is just a bit more unique & slightly less stuffy. And the nn Bash is neat! [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] & [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] are perfect.
[name_m]Elio[/name_m]-I don’t know. This is okay, but it just sounds incomplete to me. I know that it’s a real name, but it just doesn’t flow to say. That may not make sense.
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]-I like [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]. I really like [name_u]Finn[/name_u] even more. And neither go super great w/[name_f]Amelie[/name_f], but they don’t clash. [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] is sort of sporty sounding. It’s nice. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not my number one pick for you.
[name_u]Rex[/name_u]-I kind of like it. It’s a bit harsh sounding though.
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m]-Ha, that newest book really ruined this name, didn’t it? I think it’s a cool name, but I totally see your concern.
[name_m]Milo[/name_m]-This is charming. It’s not too close to [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], is it? It has a lot of the same sounds. It’s a fun name though.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
