Hello! We recently had a baby. We named him [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. I am Mexican American, since I was born in the U.S. but both of my parents were born in Mexico. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband was born in Mexico too. We both really like the name, but I keep wondering if we made the right choice. Does the name sound “too” American/White? He has a Mexican middle name.
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] is a great name for any child. And if you like the name really thats all that matters. And with a Mexican middle you’ve honored his mexican heritage and he would always have the option of going by his middle if he so chooses when he gets older.
Assuming the baby is American? It’s a great name! It does feel like an American name but… he is! It’s a great strong name & I love that his middle name honors his heritage- best of both worlds.
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] is a great name - solid, snappy, and versatile.
I don’t think you’ve made the wrong decision if you genuinely love the name; I’ve met Jacks from different backgrounds
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] is a very handsome name and so versatile
I do think that if you’ve always loved this name, then it’s definitely the right name for your son his middle name will nicely tie him to his heritage and he can always decide whether he wants to go by [name_m]Jack[/name_m] or his middle name when he’s older
