American's Next Top Model: CAF With a Twist Inspired

Okay, so since I have literally been obsessing over ANTM lately, I decided to make a game inspired by it: here’s how it’ll work.

I’ll make a character who’s in the running to become America’s Next Top Model. I’ll write her bio, her history, why she wants to become a model, how she does in the competition, etc. The next poster will do the same. Then, once we get all 16 contestants complete, we can start eliminating contestants one by one until we have a winner! I also think it could be fun for us to write how each contestant does throughout the competition. I don’t know if this will actually pick up or not, or if it even makes sense. But yeah. Here we go.

Model 1: [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] “Jacky” Sainthood
Age: 20
Appearance: [name_u]Jacky[/name_u] is a tall, 5’11 girl who has really long brown hair with bangs covering her eyes. She has light skin and a few freckles on her face, giving her an exotic look that she believes will work well in the competition. She came to the competition dressed in baggy jeans and a crop top, the judges just weren’t sure if she would fit into the competition. But Jacky’s practice walk down the runway proved she was practicing and that it might work.

The makeover: First thing’s first, [name_f]Tyra[/name_f] cut Jacky’s really long hair down to her shoulders. Dyed her hair blonde. She got rid of the bangs and made it so her hair had two little strings of hair on each side of her forehead. [name_u]Jacky[/name_u] wasn’t sure about it at all at first. Being unsure how she felt with her hair being short when she worked all her life to get it that way. [name_u]Jacky[/name_u] had actually cried a little bit when her hair was cut. But now she actually really enjoys it and thinks it makes her hot!

Personality: [name_u]Jacky[/name_u] is actually incredibly quiet. One if not the most quiet girl in the competition. She is quiet, but calculating. And determined to win. While she may not be as loud as some of the other girls, one could say she wants this more than any of them. She hasn’t made any real friends in this competition, but she doesn’t plan to. She just really wants to win.

[name_m]History[/name_m]: [name_u]Jacky[/name_u] comes from a family of models. Her mother was a model. Her grandma was also one. [name_u]Jacky[/name_u] wants this more than anyone because of this, and she really does not want to let her family down. She feels modeling is the only option for her seeing as she is their parent’s only daughter. She has 3 older brothers, none of which are interested in modeling. She’s the only hope for the family to continue in their legacy. This is why she has to win. Be damned if it’s not what she wants. [name_u]Truth[/name_u] is she doesn’t know if it was what she wanted. She’s just been told for as long as she was alive that her modeling was what would have to happen.

Why should you win the competition: “I should win this competition because I want it. I live, breathe, and eat modeling, more than any of these other girls. Not only do I love modeling, but I’m beautiful and I have the face for it. I can do this.” - [name_u]Jacky[/name_u].

Model 2/16:

Name: [name_f]Sunette[/name_f] [name_f]Hanifa[/name_f] [name_m]Goodwill[/name_m]
Age: 25
Appearance: She has long relaxed hair, is 5’10", and has dark skin and eyes. She wears rectangular framed glasses and is a fan of little black dresses. She has a confident walk, with working the runway to be her best strength in her dream of being a model. She often does her own eyebrow threading although she doesn’t make a big deal of this and often focuses her makeup on other assets like her cheekbones. She has a cleft chin which she somewhat wishes she didn’t have, wanting a pointier chin. Her hair is at her mid-back and is jet black.
The makeover [name_f]Tyra[/name_f] did for her: For her makeover, [name_f]Tyra[/name_f] decided she should let her textured hair flow naturally. [name_f]Sunette[/name_f] has all natural hair with curled inspiration of '80s [name_f]Janet[/name_f] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u]. [name_f]Sunette[/name_f] hadn’t been very natural about her hair, being told it “wasn’t professional” which is why she’s hoping to prove otherwise. The makeover also complements her face shape more even if [name_f]Sunette[/name_f] felt she was out of her comfort zone.
Personality: [name_f]Sunette[/name_f] is proud of herself and likes to exude confidence but she also feels like she wants to prove herself. What she’s worried about is that she could be too catty and that it could make her unsuccessful post-show due to looking unprofessional in behaviour. She won’t listen to anyone who wants her to be too overdramatic for show biz but also won’t be quiet when she’s forced to against her will. She feels someone will be a drama queen and she will often feud against those people, but she’s also hoping for some allies to make her experience better.
[name_m]History[/name_m]: [name_f]Sunette[/name_f] is of [name_u]South[/name_u] African descent and she is fully [name_m]Black[/name_m], although her mother was a light-skinned [name_m]Black[/name_m] person while her father is a very dark-skinned [name_m]Black[/name_m] person. She grew up very nice but with a bit of a striving streak in terms of competition and found early on that she has the poise and charisma. [name_f]Sunette[/name_f] is very choosy on words to describe, especially insisting that she isn’t the type of model who’s just for beauty contests or men’s magazines, but also that models come in all shapes and sizes and have all sorts of types. Her mother is a foot model and her brother is a very masculine male model, the latter using his career to show modelling can be manly and tough. However Sunette’s boyfriend is a more effeminate male model and she supports both her brother and her boyfriend’s styles of modelling, alongside her mother who is an excellent model even if she’s not about her face like [name_f]Sunette[/name_f] is.
Why should you win this competition?: “Modelling is an art and art is a power. With power in my hands, I will use it for the expression of my visions.” - [name_f]Sunette[/name_f].

You guys have NO IDEA how excited I am by this idea. Growing up, I accidentally discovered ANTM when I had a sleepover with my aunt, and I loved it. Is it dramatic and messy and sometimes problematic? Oh yes. But I get chills when I see a really good modeling picture and I can’t help but get invested in seeing my favorite models go far and watching the ones I loathe finally get what’s coming to 'em.

Age: 22
Appearance: Vibrant rainbow hair, medium-length. 5’5’'. Built like [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Holliday[/name_f] with thick thighs, a large chest, and a squishy belly. [name_m]Gray[/name_m] eyes. Curved eyebrows that she keeps natural. Resting face that looks like she’s smiling, and then when she truly smiles, it either uses her whole face or just barely ticks to one side, like she’s holding a secret. There’s something timeless about her, like she could easily be from the Roaring 20s or the Victorian era.
Makeover: Surprisingly, [name_f]Tyra[/name_f] did not get rid of the rainbows. At least, not all of them. They gave her a few inches of extensions, and dyed her hair so that the top and front pieces are black and the rainbow peeks out beneath (like the picture below). They also gave her fringe bangs and smoothed out her eyebrows, making her eyes really pop. [name_f]Billie[/name_f] was extremely surprised and delighted to keep some of the color, but she was honestly excited for whatever they gave her.

Personality: A Hufflepuff through and through. She is fiercely protective of her family, and that includes her friends, because once she cares about you, she gives you her whole heart. She will drop everything to cook you a meal, pick you up from the bar, or listen to you vent for hours, whatever you need. She’s a combination of the two women who raised her–her sweet, generous mama, who had her at 15, and her fearless Russian-American grandmother, who got them out of a bad situation and created a new, safe home for them across the country.
[name_m]History[/name_m]: In middle school, [name_f]Billie[/name_f] had a period of insecurity when she was bullied for her size, but her babushka taught her to take up space, speak her mind, and to have more self-respect than anyone who would treat someone as less than human because of their appearance. It was through this time of growth that she met her lifelong friend [name_f]Kasia[/name_f], a Polish-Korean classmate who just wanted to fit in, and to fit the American beauty standards as a model. [name_m]Even[/name_m] with Kasia’s rail-thin body and gorgeous bone structure, she still didn’t feel confident. And that flipped a switch in Billie’s brain; why fight so hard to shrink to a certain size when being that size wouldn’t automatically make you feel beautiful and happy? Why not feel beautiful and happy as you are? So she got into modeling alongside [name_f]Kasia[/name_f]. And she loves it. She loves the look on people’s faces when they go from thinking, “Wow, good for her,” to “Wow, she’s good at this.”
Why should you win this competition: “Because I am [bleep] good at what I do.”
