Amir and Alexander

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] guys. [name_f]My[/name_f] sister likes [name_m]Amir[/name_m] and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and was wondering how they sounded as set for brothers! Also would love to hear other boy names that could go with them!

I think they work well! Alexander is definitely more familiar, but the similar sounds tie them together.

For brothers:

Asher
Luca
Aiden
Ethan
Adrian
Julian
Aaron
Isaac
Axel
Caleb
Roman
Austin
Micah
Adam
Jordan
Atlas
Xavier
Adriel
Myles
Arthur
Nathaniel
Archer

I would be a bit surprised by them since Amir is very obviously Arabic while Alexander is primarily Germanic? There’s nothing wrong with that but it’s definitely something that’d catch my attention because it’s a pretty unexpected pair of sibling names!

I’m not sure what names to suggest since these names are so different! For a brother to Alexander, I’d be inclined to suggest another familiar name like Max / Maxwell, Charlie, Oliver, Liam, Nicholas, Sebastian, Elliott, Julian, Roman, Theodore, etc. while for a brother to Amir I’d be thinking about Arabic names that work well internationally like Iskandar, Idris, Haris, Kamil, Laith, Isa, Zayn, etc.

seconding this!! but [name_m]Amir[/name_m] has multiple origins so I think they could work [name_f][/name_f]- and I’ve known sibs with different- origin names (think [name_f]Layla[/name_f], [name_m]Tariq[/name_m], and Dylan)
