What are your thoughts on the name [name_f]Amity[/name_f] as a boys name, most likely a middle name?

I think it should work fine. the only association I have with it is the faction from Divergent, so it seems pretty neutral to me.
I’m glad to see someone finally considering a traditionally feminine name on a boy! I think [name_f]Amity[/name_f] would definitely be fine for a middle name for a boy, and could probably even work for a first. It’s so rare that I don’t think most non-name nerds would assign a gender to it.
It’s just a word name, and it’s currently not in common use for girls, so I don’t think anyone would bat an eye at you using it for a boy. It sounds perfectly fine to me.

My reasoning is that it’s a word and it has a beautiful meaning. No specific gender is assigned to it, however girls have been given this name in recent times.

I think as a middle name it could work well, as a first name it does seem very feminine to me.
I love it for either a boy or a girl, personally I’d prefer it as a middle name for a boy alongside Credence and use a different virtue name such as [name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_f]Prudence[/name_f] or [name_f]Patience[/name_f] for a girl.
I don’t much care for it on a boy, and would rather see [name_m]Amos[/name_m] used, but I guess it’s okay as a middle name.
Sorry I see [name_f]Amity[/name_f] as very feminine. I guess maybe you could get away with it as a middle
