I would love your thoughts on both of these names. Is [name]Amos[/name] too “old man”? Is [name]Abel[/name] too trendy? Thoughts please!
I don’t think [name]Abel[/name] is too trendy at all, lol. He was one of the first men of the Bible! I prefer [name]Amos[/name] of the two, but I don’t think you could go wrong with either.
I love [name]Amos[/name]! I don’t think it is old man at all! [name]Abel[/name] is nice, especially if you use the NN [name]Abe[/name]. I don’t think it is trendy at all. However, of the two my vote will always go to [name]Amos[/name].
I love [name]Amos[/name], so my vote goes to that! For the record [name]Abel[/name] is NMS but I don’t find it trendy at all
[name]Both[/name] [name]Amos[/name] and [name]Abel[/name] are great Biblical names that are really underused so I don’t think they’re trendy at all. I love both of them but at the moment I like [name]Abel[/name] a bit more due to its aural association with the word “able” which suggests a reliable and competent son!
So funny, these two names are at the top of my list, too! I think they’re both great but I lean a little more towards [name]Amos[/name] just because the association with the teachings of [name]Amos[/name] (“let justice roll down like waters…”) and the fact that [name]Martin[/name] [name]Luther[/name] [name]King[/name] [name]Jr[/name]. often quoted [name]Amos[/name]. That said, I just [name]LOVE[/name] the nn [name]Abe[/name], so I find it hard to give that one up.
Sorry that I’m not helping, but I go back and forth on these two names all the time…
I like them both for the reasons others have noted above. If you like the [name]Abe[/name] nn though you could go with [name]Abraham[/name] or [name]Abram[/name] for the fn instead.
I like both as well, but prefer [name]Amos[/name]. I absolutely love the name [name]Eamon[/name], which sounds somewhat similar to [name]Amos[/name]. However, I do like [name]Amos[/name] in it’s own right–great biblical name. I also think it’s one of those ‘so old it’s new again’ names–classic yet refreshing.
