An especially belated birth announcement

I’m super late to the party in formally announcing our baby girl’s arrival (since she turned 4 months yesterday).

[name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] was born on [name_f]September[/name_f] 17th and joins her besotted older brother, [name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m].

Thank you Berries for your help.

In the end, our love for the name [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] (in addition to it being a portmanteau of her Great-grandmothers’ names [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]) and the perfection of [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] (an acronym of her parents and grandparents first initials) overruled the clunkiness of the flow.

We have been know to call her [name_f]Griselda[/name_f] when she’s being grumpy (we also tend to call [name_m]Archer[/name_m] “[name_m]Archibald[/name_m]” for fun), but mostly we call her Z ([name_f]Zee[/name_f], even though we are in Australia where we’d usually say [name_m]Zed[/name_m]).

[name_m]Even[/name_m] though we had a few other names short-listed, I can’t imagine her add anything other than [name_f]Zelda[/name_f].

[name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] is fantastic, I abslutely love it! Congrats! My daughter is almost exactly the same age as yours - only 8 days in it. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] everything’s going well

Oh I love [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], congratulations!

Congrats! [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] is pretty and I love all the meaning behind it. nn [name_f]Zee[/name_f] is wonderful too! (Also, love Grisselda & [name_m]Archibald[/name_m]!)
