I have a friend from college named D h e m b e r [dem-bur]. The name is made-up, inspired by a town, but it seriously fits this girl SO WELL.
I’m not a fan of made-up names, but this time it went right.
What are your thoughts?

It could be worse, but it provokes a non-reaction from me. [name_m]Said[/name_m] quickly, it sounds a lot like [name_u]Denver[/name_u].
Can’t say I’m a fan. I don’t like made up names, or creative spellings much and this doesn’t even look or sound name-like to me.
Personally, I find it kind of horrific, but it’s difficult to say without knowing the girl. Almost any name can be worn well.
The spelling is too weird for me. Why the silent ‘h’? I suppose I’ll never know.
The arrangement of the letters doesn’t sit well with me. It reminds me of [name_u]December[/name_u], which has rather pleasant connotations in general so I suppose it’s not horrendous.
At least she could go by [name_f]Demi[/name_f]…
