I’m not necessarily considering this name but with the popular A / word names right now (Arrow, [name_u]Atlas[/name_u], [name_u]Anderson[/name_u], [name_u]Haven[/name_u], etc) what do you all think of [name_m]Anchor[/name_m] ?
I automatically think of Angkor [name_m]Wat[/name_m] even though that has no relation whatsoever.
I also think perhaps this name is a bit too rough/choppy sounding for my liking; it seems to lack the charm of [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and the softness of [name_u]Haven[/name_u] and [name_u]Arrow[/name_u]. I wanted to know what others thought though!
Thanks!
It’s veeery hard for me to pronounce, so obviously not gonna be a personal favourite, but I like it for others! I think that maybe it works better as a middle name, not because it’s too out there, but mostly because of the choppy sound that you mentioned and the lack of intuitive nicknames.
I also think it’s one of those names that work a lot better in a North American than an English accent haha.
I quite like [name_m]Anchor[/name_m] - it feels like it could fit in with Atlas/Arrow etc - plus names with a bit of grit like [name_u]Axel[/name_u], [name_u]Hunter[/name_u], [name_u]Reeve[/name_u], [name_u]Ryker[/name_u], [name_u]Dawson[/name_u], [name_u]Beck[/name_u], [name_m]Colton[/name_m]
I also like the ‘sea’ vibes and the feeling of being ‘anchored’ - a bit like [name_u]Haven[/name_u], it feels comforting?
