Miss [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] arrived on [name_f]May[/name_f] 25th. It was both a joyous and bittersweet moment because as many berries have come to know, my husband [name_m]Paul[/name_m] passed away last year and he and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] will never be able to meet one another.
Her middle name of [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is to honor [name_m]Paul[/name_m] and for that I would like to say a special thanks to @katinka for helping me to decide on [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] with this that she wrote on one of my several threads:
“…[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] for its close resemblance to your husband’s name and its symbolism as a rare, beautiful and precious thing that comes unexpectedly from the darkest depths.”
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is the name that I grew to love so greatly, it feels like a very happy name while also being a classic. [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] was a last minute change on the name, would’ve been [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] instead, but [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] felt more strong and well balanced with [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] than the sweet and southern [name_f]Annabel[/name_f].
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]'s very excited brothers and sister are [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Bernard[/name_m] [name_m]Otis[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] “[name_u]Bernie[/name_u]” and [name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f].
My sincerest congratulations on your daughter, her name is just stunning! I’m so sorry that your husband can’t be there, but wishing you and your family many happy memories.
Congratulations!! [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is such a sweet name, [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] is super beautiful (as biased as I can be) and I especially love how significant [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is to you. Sad that her daddy can’t be there, but anyway, enjoy your very well named, precious baby girl. [name_u]Robin[/name_u], [name_u]Bernie[/name_u], [name_f]Celia[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] sound perfect together.
Congratulations again, @harvest! I’m so glad you appreciated my thoughts on the name [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] - it really does seem to be a perfect fit for you. [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is just so bright and beautiful.
Of course nothing can ever make up for the loss of your beloved husband, but I hope [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]'s birth brings you all joy in difficult times. I wish you and little [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] the speediest of recoveries. Please stick around and keep us updated on how you and she (and all of her gorgeously named older siblings) are doing!
Congratulations on miss [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! What a beautiful classic name. I adore [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], and I love the significance of using [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is one of the most beautiful names I’ve ever heard. [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_u]Bernie[/name_u], [name_u]Robin[/name_u] and [name_f]Celia[/name_f] are gorgeous together!
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]'s name is absolutely stunning!
I also want to say that I’m so sorry for your loss, but I hope that your little new ray of sunshine can bring you and your beautifully named children some happiness in these times.
Congratulations! [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is one of my favorites for all of the reasons you listed, it’s such a happy name! Would you ever consider giving your first son a second middle name? I can’t help but think that [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] would be lovely. I hope I’m not upsetting you by saying this, it’s just a random thought I had. Please don’t feel obligated to answer if it’s too personal.
Thank you everyone for the sweet comments and compliments on [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]'s name, it means so much! She’s 2 weeks old now and is just the most easy-going and serene of all my babies. She’s my little blessing!
@lainy, I love your idea of giving [name_u]Robin[/name_u] his dad’s name as a second middle, but I think that considering his age it’ll be a bit troublesome with documents and all, I think that had I known all those years ago when we named him, that for his siblings I would have opted for two middles I might have… It makes me happy though to know that [name_m]Paul[/name_m] was very hands on with all the choices we made for our kids (especially names) and that [name_u]Robin[/name_u] was his choice and suggestion, that we happily decided on together. That I will never let our son forget Wishing you all the best sweetheart and thank you once again! Hopefully you’ll have your own baby [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] in a little while.
