Andric

What do you think of Andric as a middle name? It would honor both of the baby’s grandfathers, whose middle names are [name]Andrew[/name] and [name]Patrick[/name]. The combos we’re considering are

[name]Calvin[/name] Andric
[name]Clete[/name] Andric (I know a lot of people on here dislike [name]Clete[/name], but I still like it)
[name]Corbin[/name] Andric

Which spelling do you prefer- Andric, Andrick, or Andrik?

Thanks!

I’m usually not a fan of mashup names because they can be awkward, but Andric/k actually looks pretty good!

I would go with Andric or Andrik

It’s a bit odd because it feels very made-up (which it is).
Would you consider two middle names instead to honor both relatives?
[name]Corbin[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Drew[/name] is very handsome!

We’ve decided against two middle names. [name]Corbin[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Drew[/name] is nice, though. We’ve also decided against using the name of just one of the grandfathers. I actually have found all three spellings of Andric listed as names on other sites. The meaning is “man, warrior” ( I know, not much of a meaning) and it’s been attributed to Greek, Slavic, or Russian origins.

I’m sure I’ve seen Andric before in some version.

I assume the different spellings correspond to different languages. Greek and Russian would both probably be K, C looks like somewhere in southeastern Europe? That’s out of the choices given. Without that information, I’d have assumed Dutch, Danish or Norse.
