Classical Latin keeps the short “i”. [name_m]Church[/name_m] Latin and Italian would change it to the long “e” sound. As far as names go, that’s a heavy burden for a character to bear. I performed in [name_m]Titus[/name_m] [name_m]Andronicus[/name_m] and it’s Shakespeare’s most brutal and bloody play.
