Currently making a baby girl name list for all my potential daughter names (quite obsessed right now), however I came across a dilemma and could sort of use help in alternatives, I always wanted to name my daughter [name_u]Angel[/name_u] [name_u]Baby[/name_u] (after the song) but unfortunately I have a cousin with the name [name_u]Angel[/name_u], we don’t really talk, but I’ll feel rude in using their name, is there any alternatives with names like [name_u]Angel[/name_u], or names that could be a better fit, it sucks not being able to use it, but I like the appeal of the name alone rather than the reference

Laylah - angel who oversees and protects childbirth
Leo / Leah (Leo = an angel who thwarts demons)
Michelle / Michaela / Mikayla (Michael - archangel whos name means “who is as God”)
Minnie (Miniel - angel invoked to induce love)
Muriel - angel who rules the dominions and the month of June
Nathalie / Natalie (Nathanael - angel ruling over hidden things, fire, and vengeance)

There’s definitely more. These were just the ones that stood out to me. Here’s the full list of angels, that I found - List of Angels - Angelicpedia
@Elle1 I can’t thank you enough for these names! I haven’t even thought about naming them after angels, I find it hard to find female names that can replace [name_u]Angel[/name_u], but I will be peeping at your link!
I actually know a girl named Angelaxbaby. That’s her official name and it’s on our yearbook and everything. I thought that was a difficult one to live up to!
@sweetcaroline personally also like that name, though I feel it’s to long and a “mushed up”, not for me but props to the parents for being able to find a unique name, I wouldn’t have the guts to name my child that !
@princesspanda - No problem, take your time! I also love the name [name_u]Angel[/name_u], but as a unisex name. I fell in love with it from a male character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer So Angelus is on my boy name list And it’s possible that, whenever you happen to give birth to a daughter, the association with your cousin may be less. I don’t know about your family, but I certainly have cousins that I’ve grown away from, and others that I’ve grown closer to, over the years I would feel no qualms about taking a name that I LOVE from a relative I rarely/never talk to…
