Hello fellow berries!
[name_m]New[/name_m] poster here. I was wondering if you guys could give me some input for some name ideas we are stumped on. We are really into the idea of angel themed names, but can’t seem to find any useable options. We even looked into Greek mythology for winged figures ([name_m]Eros[/name_m], Adrestia etc.) but we haven’t found too many there.
The “big four” ([name_u]Michael[/name_u]/[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]/[name_m]Raphael[/name_m]/[name_u]Ariel[/name_u]) are way too locally common to be useable. The [name_u]Angel[/name_u]/[name_f]Angelica[/name_f]/[name_f]Angela[/name_f]/etc. group of names is also extremely common in both of our workplaces, and let’s just say it wouldn’t sit well.
We’ve looked through lists upon lists of angel names online, and it seems endless. [name_m]Haniel[/name_m] seemed nice at first, and it was one of our main choices. It’s just that I feel people won’t automatically pronounce it as “Han-eye-elle” as it is supposed to be, and many will probably think it rhymes with “[name_m]Daniel[/name_m]”.
Basically, we just want something that won’t constantly be mispronounced, and has angelic connotations (biblical or mythological). Gender isn’t a factor yet, so all angel-y names are welcome! I was thinking some of you might have neat suggestions. Thanks a bunch!!
My favorite “angel themed” name is [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]- heavenly without being too common or obviously connected to an angel!
