Wanting to name my daughter after myself and give her the first name the same as mine [name_f]Angela[/name_f]. I love the name [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] and thought of using that for a middle but calling her [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]. Thoughts?
My first thought is that [name_f]Angela[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] is very similar to [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]. However, [name_f]Angela[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] is a very beautiful name and naming your daughter after yourself is very sweet.
Yeah, my thoughts go straight to [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f], too. Personally, I’m not a big fan of [name_f]Angela[/name_f], it sounds a bit dated, in my opinion. But if you did want to name your daughter after yourself, how about [name_f]Joelle[/name_f] as a middle? Then you could still call her [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] and it would help her avoid the [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] connotations.
I thought of [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] immediately as well. There’s little chance that most people will even know her middle name, so this probably won’t be much of a problem. However, if it’s something that will bother you, what about [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] or [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] [name_u]Josie[/name_u]?
Not sure if it even bothers you, but I actually misread it as [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]. It’s not like she’s a bad person or anything, it’s just that people might think you’re a super fan or something.
They’re both cute names, though.
I personally don’t like either name [name_f]Angela[/name_f] or [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] but if the [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] reference doesn’t bother you it is useable.
