I saw a model named her daughter [name_f]Anja[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] (pronounnced Anyah) and i dont know what to think of the name, opinions please? i think the name is spanish. Thank you
I prefer [name_f]Anya[/name_f]. But I think either way it is a lovely name. [name_f]Anja[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is a nice combo, I love [name_f]Louise[/name_f] as a middle name.
I never really cared for [name_f]Anya[/name_f]/[name_f]Anja[/name_f] until a friend named her daughter [name_f]Anya[/name_f]. Now I can’t help but think of their adorable blue-eyed blonde spunky girl and it gets a thumbs up from me.
Thanks for your input! And funny my middle name is [name_f]Louise[/name_f] haha
Thank you!
There is this Polish-born model, [name_f]Anja[/name_f] Rubik. Although the Polish version is [name_f]Anna[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Ania[/name_f]). There’s also gothic singer [name_f]Anja[/name_f] Orthodox. I find this name quite decent and more interesting variation of [name_f]Anne[/name_f]/[name_f]Anna[/name_f]/[name_f]Ana[/name_f]/[name_f]Ann[/name_f]. Plus, [name_f]Ana[/name_f] sounds more Spanish than [name_f]Anja[/name_f] and they (Spanish-speaking people) pronounce J like H, so I don’t think it is Spanish really. [name_f]Anja[/name_f] is filled with life and personality - compared to [name_f]Anne[/name_f]/[name_f]Anna[/name_f] which was always a little bland to me, but just a little. I know a bunch of [name_f]Anna[/name_f]'s and I find them all nice people, so no offence anyone. What I am trying to say is, that in my opinion [name_f]Anja[/name_f] is more mysterious and characteristic than the classic version
Very pretty! I prefer the [name_f]Anya[/name_f] spelling myself, but either way it’s a beautiful name!
[name_f]Anja[/name_f] is Nothern/Eastern European, not Spanish. The Spanish form of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is [name_f]Ana[/name_f].
[name_f]Anja[/name_f] is a lovely name but personally, I’d go with the [name_f]Anya[/name_f] spelling to avoid any pronunciation issues.
[name_f]Anja[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] [name_m]Ambrosio[/name_m]'s daughter.
As other have already pointed out, [name_f]Anja[/name_f] is a Nordic/Eastern-European name. It is quite common here in Scandinavia and both spellings are used [name_f]Anya[/name_f]/[name_f]Anja[/name_f]. Personally, I think it’s a beautiful name.
Where I’m from [name_f]Anja[/name_f] is a 60s/70s name so to me it sounds dated and also I don’t like the sound of it, to me it sounds unfriendly and uncomfortably much like ‘Onion’ but there are way worse choices of course. I’d also advice the spelling with ‘y’ to avoid any confusion. [name_f]Marja[/name_f] is a relatively similar name that also took off here around that time so maybe you like that one as well.
I love this name so much, and especially/definitely with the ‘j’ spelling! One of my top names. [name_f]Anja[/name_f] with a j would be more [name_m]German[/name_m]/Scandinavian, I think.
