I am looking for a version of [name]Ann[/name] to use as a middle name for a [name]Beatrix[/name]. [name]Ann[/name] is a family name and we’re on the fourth generation now. [name]Rita[/name] [name]Ann[/name] had [name]Janice[/name] [name]Diane[/name] and [name]Melanie[/name] [name]Ann[/name]. [name]Melanie[/name] [name]Ann[/name] has [name]Katharine[/name] [name]Ann[/name] (that’s me), [name]Lauren[/name] [name]Brianna[/name], and [name]Jacob[/name] [name]Alan[/name]. [name]Jacob[/name] [name]Alan[/name] has an [name]Annaliese[/name].
Does anyone have any suggestions for “[name]Ann[/name]” names that aren’t obvious [name]Ann[/name] names? I think I’m too close to it to see anything else.
I myself am partial to [name]Annora[/name], [name]Anina[/name], [name]Anna[/name], [name]Annia[/name], [name]Antonia[/name], and [name]Anthea[/name]. I also love [name]Frances[/name] as a way to honor [name]Ann[/name], but don’t think it sounds as good with [name]Beatrix[/name].
Erm, actually it is. It’s a French form of [name]Ann/name. After [name]Annabel[/name], [name]Anais[/name] was actually my first idea, I think it’s lovely. I think [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Annabeth[/name] would be lovely, too.
Oops! I knew shouldn’t be spewing ‘facts’ when I haven’t made a quick check. I think it’s because I’ve always been under the impression that [name]Anais[/name] was a form of [name]Agnes[/name]. Not that that makes things any better.
Thank you for all of the wonderful suggestions. There were so many amazing names that I had never thought of. My mom loves the name [name]Agnes[/name] and has for a long time. [name]How[/name] she had four daughters and none of us are named [name]Agnes[/name] is a small miracle. [name]Anais[/name] is another name that I had never thought of before, yet is wonderful. For years I disliked my middle name because it seemed so plain (another sister has [name]Marissa[/name] as a middle name). However, as time has passed and I’ve realized the family connections with “[name]Ann[/name]”, I’ve grown to love her and am grateful to have such a great middle name.
