Lately, I’ve been looking for full names to complement the shorter names that I love. For instance, I’ve already asked about longer names that contain [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Rosa[/name]. I recieved some wonderful suggestions. Now, I’m looking at a few more short names to see what longer names there are for them.
The names in question are [name]Anna[/name] (I love [name]Annabelle[/name] and Annabeth), [name]Beth[/name] (again, love Annabeth but not really in love with [name]Bethany[/name]), and [name]Lily[/name] (I love [name]Lillian[/name] but of course it’s so popular).
I also really love [name]Molly[/name], but I can’t think of any names that contain or can be shortened to [name]Molly[/name]. Anyway, [name]Anna[/name], [name]Beth[/name], [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Molly[/name] are the names I’m looking at! Any new ideas?
I love [name]Molly[/name] too and since it’s derived from [name]Mary[/name] any of the [name]Mary[/name] names would work. These are two of my favorite [name]Mary[/name] names.
[name]Mariette[/name]
[name]Marabelle[/name]
Oh, I dig [name]Mariette[/name] and [name]Amalia[/name]! I do like [name]Marabelle[/name], too, but I have a [name]Bella[/name], so it would be strange to actually use. Keep them coming!
[name]Liliana[/name] is my fave [name]Lily[/name] derivative - I suppose you could also get to [name]Anna[/name] from that!
I know two little [name]Annelise[/name]'s, one of whom goes by [name]Anna[/name].
[name]Molly[/name] - kinda like it on it’s own terms. The only thing a google search got me that I remotely liked/made sense was [name]Mallory[/name]. . .
I think I’m totally with you on [name]Molly[/name] being on its own. I love, love, love it! If I were to use it though, I’m not sure that it would flow well with my other daughter’s name which is a long, frilly name.
[name]Liliana[/name] is actually the name we had chosen if my son was actually a girl . It’s safe to say I do love that name. It isn’t my favorite though. It was my husbands favorite and I was more than willing to go with it for the nn of [name]Lily[/name] or [name]Anna[/name]!
Lately I have seen people using the [name]Lillias[/name]/[name]Lilias[/name] version of [name]Lillian[/name]. But I also love [name]Lilliana[/name] (it’s my favorite [name]Lilly[/name] version). I think you could use [name]Molly[/name] for a middle name. [name]Lilliana[/name] [name]Molly[/name] [name]Jane[/name] sounds adorable to me.
[name]Lilliana[/name] [name]Molly[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Lilliana[/name] [name]Molly[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Lilliana[/name] [name]Molly[/name] stands alone too.
[name]Liliana[/name] [name]Molly[/name] is adorable! You know, spelling of [name]Liliana[/name] is another thing. I think it actually does look prettier with two 'l’s ([name]Lilliana[/name]). But I also like it with a ‘y’ ([name]Lillyana[/name]).
Also, how do you guys feel about [name]Lilliana[/name] vs. [name]Lillianna[/name]. [name]Lilliana[/name] (lily-ah-na) sounds more regal I suppose, where as [name]Lillianna[/name] sounds more cutesy and perhaps even a bit country. But again, that brings in [name]Anna[/name] as well, which I love.
[name]Molly[/name] is quite a common nn for the Hebrew name [name]Malkah[/name], which is the name of the Sabbath [name]Queen[/name].
[name]Beth[/name] is common for [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Elisabeth[/name], but also the Jewish/Hebrew versions are [name]Elisheva[/name], [name]Batsheva[/name], or [name]Batya[/name].
Annalore is quite common in Scandinavia, and I prefer [name]Annabel[/name] to [name]Annabelle[/name].
[name]Lily[/name] is also a common nn for the Jewish [name]Lilith[/name] as well, although that has a bit (!) of baggage with it…
