Anna Grace or Anna Kate?

Which [name_f]Anna[/name_f] pairing sounds better…
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]?

Thanks for your input!

I think [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] sounds better, but [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is one of my all-time favourite mn picks- even if it is popular- so maybe I’m biased.

As a first and middle, or as a double first?

As a first and middle name, that could be said together… or not. I think both sound cute together, just can’t decide on one.

They both look and sound great. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] I think is stronger, however [name_f]Kate[/name_f] I do prefer over [name_f]Grace[/name_f] myself. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] has a more traditional feel and [name_f]Kate[/name_f] somewhat modern. They’re both so different in tone it’s hard to choose.
Let’s just say, if I had to name my own child one of the two…I’d go with [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. I do tend to side with contemporary over traditional though, so there’s that…

I agree that [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] sounds much more modern. It is also easier to say all together. But, I love the timeless, romantic feel of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]

[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]

[name_f]Anna[/name_f] means grace, so that’s like calling your daughter [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] :stuck_out_tongue:
Therefore, [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f].

[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]! While I prefer [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as a name, I like the flow of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f].

[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is gorgeous. I have [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] on my short list.

They’re both beautiful to me. Go with your heart. X

Yep, this is my train for thought for picking [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], too.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] does sound lovely, but to me, it’s redundant.

Most people, outside of baby name lovers, do not know that [name_f]Anna[/name_f] means [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. I questioned “average” people a while ago because I also considered [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], still have it on the back burner. Many people laughed and stated they didn’t even know the meanings of their own names.

I agree completely!

Sound-wise I prefer [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], but I agree it seems a bit silly since [name_f]Anna[/name_f] means grace. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] falls a bit flat for me though- what about [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Katharine[/name_f] or [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]?

[name_m]Both[/name_m] are gorgeous. I love [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] a tiny bit more. I doubt too many people know that [name_f]Anna[/name_f] means [name_f]Grace[/name_f], so I don’t think it’s an issue

I love both [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f], and I like [name_f]Grace[/name_f] better than [name_f]Kate[/name_f], in general, but I like [name_f]Kate[/name_f] as a mn more, and I’m not a fan of the fact that [name_f]Anna[/name_f] means “grace”, so it feels quite repetitive to me. I like the look and feel of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] more, but I like the sound and spunkiness of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] wins for me, but I do love [name_f]Grace[/name_f], too!

I just like the sound of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] more than I like [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f].

[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. It looks and sounds more beautiful.

Thanks for all of your comments. It seems like it’s a tie between [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f]!”

I like these both a lot! So if your heart sings a bit more for one of them, I’d go with that one.
These both have a traditional but spirited double-name sound - as you said, you could use both names but you wouldn’t have to.

If it helps, they have ever-so-slightly different vibes for me:
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a bit more traditional, and possibly slightly girlier.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] feels a touch spunkier, and is a little easier for me to picture on a grown-up – but that’s probably only because most Graces I know are under the age of 12 or so.

I slightly lean towards [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], but I’m thinking that’s because my sister’s name is [name_f]Kate[/name_f] so it has fond associations for me.
