Anna Moriah?

Thoughts on this combo?? Maybe I could put a third name with it? [name]Anna[/name] [name]Moriah[/name] [name]Joy[/name]??

I like your other options better. I prefer [name]Anna[/name] [name]Maria[/name]

O.K., here is where I am (baby is due in 3 weeks):

[name]Anna[/name] ______ Maybe [name]Anna[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Anne[/name]
[name]Serena[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] (but I am still very reluctant on [name]Susannah[/name], as hubby is not totally on bard with it)
[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (The popularity of [name]Olivia[/name] is a detering to me…)

I like [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] the most, it’s very pretty. [name]Anna[/name] [name]May[/name] maybe? Suitable for a [name]May[/name] baby  or [name]Anna[/name] [name]Rose[/name]?

I actually like [name]Anna[/name] [name]Moriah[/name]! I love the connection to you grandma (right?), and I love the Biblical connotations of Mt. [name]Moriah[/name] and [name]Moses[/name] and everything. Quite a cool legacy to pass down. I liked just [name]Anna[/name] [name]Moriah[/name], and then I saw [name]Anna[/name] [name]Moriah[/name] [name]Joy[/name], and I loved it even more! I do like [name]Anna[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] a lot, though–that would probably be more my style–but I do love everything about [name]Anna[/name] [name]Moriah[/name] [name]Joy[/name]!

As for the popularity of [name]Olivia[/name] (I’m still plugging for this, lol!), what made you decide on [name]Emma[/name]? Was it not as popular as it is now when you used it for her? [name]How[/name] many other Emmas do you know? I would think the popularity with [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name] would be similar–maybe even less so for [name]Olivia[/name] because you don’t have [name]Emily[/name]/[name]Emilia[/name]/[name]Amelia[/name]/[name]Emmeline[/name]/[name]Emerson[/name]/etc. to contend with… just a thought. Besides, [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]/[name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] is so sweet.

I don’t really care for the double -a endings, but I don’t mind it. I think I slightly prefer Anna Caroline as you’re thinking. Or what about Anna Madeline Joy (Anna May), Anna Beatrice (Annie B), Anna Juniper (Anna June), Anna Rosalie (to get the pp’s Anna Rose and a little of that double -a sound without the actual ending?), Anna Charlotte, Anna Naomi, Anna Magdalen (Anna May again), Anna Rachel, or Anna Felicity (Flicka)?

I really do like Susannah Joy…too bad he’s not loving it. I agree with the pp about Olivia. You have a Sophie(-Claire), right? And an Emma, too? Have you experienced much trouble or confusion with several other Sophies or Emmas? If their names’ positions on the charts haven’t been a problem or an irritation, then I think go with what you love, even if a lot of other people love it, too.

[name]Moriah[/name] is usually a boy name but in the middle name place it shouldn’t be an issue. Plus I’m not crazy about [name]Mariah[/name] or [name]Anna[/name] [name]Maria[/name], so I like [name]Anna[/name] [name]Moriah[/name]

[name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name] used to be favorites but they’ve become too popular. Not crazy about [name]Susannah[/name]. I’m neutral on [name]Serena[/name]

Thanks for all the input  As for [name]Emma[/name], when [name]Emma[/name] was born we actually lived in Lima, [name]Peru[/name]. She was born the year of the friend’s episode, which in a way helped to explode [name]Emma[/name]. I had no idea about the episode, or [name]Emma[/name]'s popularity until we moved back to the States. I actually found her name in a baby book  By that time it seemed it was just in the catching on phase, and it still was not in the top 10. [name]Emma[/name] is 10 yo  We know a couple of other [name]Emma[/name]'s but they are all younger than our [name]Emma[/name]. We live now, in a small town in [name]Alabama[/name], and she is the only [name]Emma[/name] in her grade (for now)…

[name]Sophie[/name]-[name]Claire[/name] was born in Bogota, [name]Colombia[/name]. Over there the name [name]Sofia[/name] was big, not [name]Sophie[/name] (I got her name from here  ). I have not met one other [name]Sophie[/name] as of yet in our town, but I am sure I will (I have heard of [name]Sophia[/name]'s)…

What concerns me about [name]Olivia[/name], is that I am hearing a lot of new babies (from church) being named [name]Olivia[/name]… that makes me more inclined to believe that my [name]Olivia[/name] would be one of several in a class or grade… but maybe not… Our church is in a larger town, and not all of those babies would go to school with our baby. I am also hearing a ton of friends (FB, not that live close) using that name. So far this year 5 of my friends have used [name]Olivia[/name] (not close friends, but again it makes me think the name is hugely popular).

Hubby seems to think hyphenating the name with [name]Jane[/name] : [name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name] makes it stand out, and stand above other [name]Olivia[/name]'s… I am not so sure… the bottom line is, yes we do love [name]Olivia[/name]. Honestly I have loved it for many years before it became the “it” name… so, I am not sure why this is bothering me so badly. I also wonder if [name]Olivia[/name] has teh same qualities as [name]Sophie[/name] and [name]Sarah[/name]… I wonder, does [name]Charlotte[/name] or [name]Anna[/name] fit better??? (but, I am seeing [name]Charlotte[/name] shoot up the charts as well…)

I have heard a lot of [name]Anna[/name]'s here in my town. Not new babies, but a lot of children with the name [name]Anna[/name] or [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Grace[/name] or Anna____ so, while I believe it would be a classic, pretty choice, in no way would it stand out.

ughh… so that is where I am with all of it. Hubby, adores [name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Anne[/name] or [name]Anna[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]. He really doesn’t care for any of the others, and I know he would be thrilled to pieces if I would just decide on one of those three and stick with it. He has agreed to “give me” [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name], but has told me time and time again, it is not his favorite. He is a great hubby, and father… and I know he wants me to be happy, but it just puts a sour taste in my mouth that he really doesn’t care for the name, after all it is his baby too…

From your list I do love [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Joy[/name]. It is a stunning combo. [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] is beautiful, as is [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]. Is your dh’s problem with [name]Susannah[/name] or the combo?

I prefer [name]Anna[/name] [name]Moriah[/name] to [name]Anna[/name] [name]Maria[/name]. [name]Anna[/name] [name]Maria[/name] is very boring to me, [name]Moriah[/name] is at least unexpected and interesting in the mn spot. I really like [name]Anna[/name] [name]Moriah[/name] [name]Joy[/name].

He just doesn’t care for [name]Susannah[/name]. Plus, my Brother in law and his wife just named their baby born in Nov. [name]Susan[/name]. He is not close with his brother, and think the names are too close. It doesn’t bother me, as we never see them, and they live cross country from us… but it just seems to bother him…

[name]Hi[/name]! My favorites:

  1. [name]Anna[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Joy[/name]
  2. [name]Anna[/name] [name]Moriah[/name] [name]Joy[/name] (love the connection to your grandmother)
  3. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Anne[/name]
  4. [name]Olivia[/name]-[name]Jane[/name]

I actually prefer [name]Anna[/name] [name]Moriah[/name]! I really like [name]Caroline[/name], but [name]Moriah[/name] just adds a much needed spark to [name]Anna[/name] for me, and I love the family connection. I don’t think it’s necessary to add a second middle - I’d leave [name]Joy[/name] off, personally. It’s a bit dated to me.

Can ya’ll give me some feed back once again on [name]Serena[/name]? Hubby says he has thought about it, and likes it…
[name]Serena[/name] [name]Joy[/name]???

Honestly, I don’t think it’s as classy as the rest of your kids’ names. But that might just be me:)

love it! I love how serene, sweet, and classy [name]Serena[/name] is, and [name]Joy[/name] just makes the combo feel joyful, too. I really love [name]Serena[/name] [name]Joy[/name]!

[name]Serena[/name] is not my favorite of yours but it is a pretty name.
