Definitely [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]! [name_f]Anneli[/name_f] intrigues me (it’s a Scandinavian form of [name_f]Anne[/name_f]/[name_f]Anna[/name_f]–I assume [name_f]Annelie[/name_f] is [name_m]French[/name_m]?), but I prefer it as a MN generally. I love [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] a lot, though, and I’m sure if [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] wasn’t my top choice for a girl, either [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] would be on my top 10. :slight_smile:

[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is definitely the winner for me (although, I prefer the longer spelling - [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]). My second choice would be [name_f]Annelie[/name_f]. :slight_smile: I also love [name_f]Annelise[/name_f], as another option along the same lines.

I hate to mention this, but in other threads where [name_f]Annelie[/name_f]/[name_f]Anneli[/name_f] was being considered, I’ve seen several people respond that their first association was with “anally”, and that they thought teenage teasing could be brutal.

For that reason, I’d go with one of the others - my own pick is [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], though I actually prefer just [name_f]Anna[/name_f], which to me epitomises clean, sophisticated simplicity which suits at any age.

Over [name_f]Annelie[/name_f] maybe being associated with anally, I have asked my son and his friends in the past about this. They did not feel it was an issue.
