I am going through a bit of a love affair with the name [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] right now. I like the way is sounds with our daughter [name_u]Everly[/name_u]'s name and the nn [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Alise[/name_f] are both lovely.
What are your thoughts of the name?
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f] is a beautiful name, and I love this spelling, too. It’s super beautiful and flowing, but also very professional and lively. The one caveat: With [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u], does it feel too feminine? [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is unisex, and [name_u]James[/name_u] is heavily masculine. I think I’d pair it with a least a unisex, but preferably masculine, middle for the sake of continuity.
I like [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] quite a bit. It’s one of those familiar but not weird names; feels fancy but not stuffy. Has accessible nicknames. I wouldn’t be unhappy with this name.
The style is a bit different from [name_u]Everly[/name_u], but due to their similar length, vowel beginnings and L feature, I think they pair up fine.
I do agree however on using another masculine mn, especially considering it’s girlier than [name_u]Everly[/name_u].
I think it works with [name_u]Everly[/name_u]!! [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] is a nice name
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name. Different style from [name_u]Everly[/name_u] but I like that. It gives your family some depth and variety.
I like it and it’s so bouncy and fun to say alongside [name_u]Everly[/name_u]!
I think it’s lovely and works very well as [name_u]Everly[/name_u]'s sister.
Thank you for all the positive feedback! I got a positive response from my husband as well so it could be a contender.
I’m liking the middle name [name_u]Connelly[/name_u] in honour of my brother ([name_m]Connor[/name_m]) who passed away as a teenager.
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f] [name_u]Connelly[/name_u] is a bit lengthy but i think it’s quite nice.
Echoing what others have said they are a little different style wise but there are some characteristics of both names that tie them together. I also agree that a masc leaning unisex name or generally masc regarded name would help balance it with Everly James.
Connelly could work and I think it’s sweet that you want to honor your brother! I think Conall/Connell, Conan, Connie (less masc but does the job,) Connory, and Norvell, all work similarly well. Heck even just going all in with Connor works imo!
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f] [name_u]Connelly[/name_u] is lovely, and a great match to [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] imo.
I really like [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] [name_u]Connolly[/name_u] for you and that you have found such a lovely way to honour your brother. I think you have a winner!
I think so too!
Thanks so much everyone! Now to start thinking about boys names.
