I’ve been pondering the name [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] for baby #2. I was doing a bit of a Google search on the name (I shouldn’t have!) and I came across a site that thought it was a terrible name and sounded like anal-ease and should be the name of a lubricant!
What do you think? If I named a girl this would she be made fun of her whole life? I don’t know anyone named [name_f]Annalise[/name_f], so I have no one to ask. What are your thoughts on this name? Thanks!
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f] is a beautiful name! I know an [name_f]Annalise[/name_f], and everyone compliments her name because it’s quite unique. I don’t think she would be made fun of. If you can’t forget about the website, though, then don’t use it. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
I would also say that it is a beautiful name and I doubt she would be made fun of. I only know a woman named [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] which is pronounced very similar.
I love it! I’ve always debated between spelling it [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] and [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] (I don’t like the name [name_f]Anne[/name_f]) and anal-ease/lubricant never crossed my mind.
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f] is a gorgeous name it’s elegant and has a fresh underused sound. I prefer [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] spelling wise though. I also love [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f]!
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t spell it [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]. That’s just begging for crude jokes. Spell it the traditional way. [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is a legitimate name and should not be a problem.
I love [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], and that suggestion of lubricant name is ridiculous! I like the traditional spelling - when I see [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] it makes me think the parents didn’t know how to spell the name and guessed. (I know it’s an accepted variant but that’s my honest opinion.)
Thanks for the help! We [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name and think it’s so beautiful! I think if we use the name we’ll spell it [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] just so we don’t have to worry about any anal jokes!
