My bff is having her first born a baby girl in the next couple of weeks, neither her nor the dad can make up wether to go with [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Helene[/name] or [name]Anja[/name]-[name]Helene[/name].Which one do you guys like more?
Are they pronouncing [name]Helene[/name] the French way, like ‘eh-lehn’? If so, I would go with [name]Anne[/name] [name]Helene[/name], since [name]Anne[/name] is also French. It’s a lovely name!
I like [name]Anja[/name]-[name]Helene[/name], I think that given she is using [name]Helene[/name] instead of [name]Helen[/name], go all out and be totally exotic with [name]Anja[/name]!! I prefer the sound of [name]Anja[/name]-[name]Helene[/name] better too.
Good luck to them!!
I dislike [name]Anja[/name], because it sounds like “on ya”.
[name]Imagine[/name] the conversations:
“I’m gonna get [name]Anja[/name].”
“No, no, I’ll get [name]Anja[/name].”
“So who is getting [name]Anja[/name]?”
[name]Read[/name] out loud for the full effect.
Therefore, I vote [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Helene[/name]
@gmarie: I had to show my friend this and we just couldn’t stop laughing.
@[name]Isis[/name] [name]Rose[/name]: they are pronouncing it the french way, since [name]Helene[/name] is the grandmother’s name and she is french.
Personally I like the name bc it’s not as overused as [name]Anne[/name] or [name]Ann[/name] but I think it has a strong sound when pronouncing it
