Anne Middle Names

It is a tradition in my family to use [name_u]Anne[/name_u] (or a derivative of it) for the first daughters in my family. I don’t want to use the traditional [name_u]Anne[/name_u] or [name_f]Anna[/name_f], but I’d like to carry the tradition on. [name_f]My[/name_f] middle name is [name_f]Annalise[/name_f], so I don’t want to use that either.

What are some unique “Anne” names that are good for middle names? First name ideas are [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Bea[/name_f], or [name_f]Greta[/name_f].

You’ve come to the right place. [name_f]My[/name_f] middle name is [name_f]Ann[/name_f], and I grew up hating it. I’m still not the biggest fan of it because it seems a bit basic but it is my mom’s middle name. Your idea of twisting [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is GENIUS.

Here are some ideas:
[name_f]Brianne[/name_f]
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Ariane[/name_f]

[name_f]Annica[/name_f]

There’s also the Polish variant, [name_f]Ania[/name_f]. I do also like [name_f]Annette[/name_f], and [name_f]Ana[/name_f] (pronounced Aw-nuh).

Thank you! I can’t take the credit though, my mom did a twist of [name_f]Ann[/name_f] with me when she used [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]! Come to think of it, I do kind of like [name_f]Bea[/name_f] Annalise…

Here’s a few more ideas:

[name_f]Anaelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Aniela[/name_f]
[name_f]Aniko[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Anuki[/name_f]
[name_f]Anwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Marianne[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Aniston[/name_f] and [name_m]Anakin[/name_m], although they both would have strong associations to take into consideration.
Some other non-obvious choices could be any name that ends in -an or -ana / -anna, such as [name_f]Evianna[/name_f], [name_f]Aviana[/name_f], [name_f]Milana[/name_f], but there are a ton others. You could also use the nameberry advanced search tool to find names that contain “an,” “Ann,” “Anne,” etc.

With the lovely [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Bea[/name_f] or [name_f]Greta[/name_f] I like [name_f]Nancy[/name_f], or [name_f]Nanette[/name_f] - both forms of [name_u]Anne[/name_u].

I mean, like I said, I share a middle name with my mom so I really can’t be one to discourage you from that
