I really like [name]Anne[/name] because its simple and classy, but do you think its to boring?

I wanted to name my daughter [name]Anne[/name]. But now I like [name]Annika[/name], [name]Anna[/name], and [name]Annalise[/name] even better. I also love [name]Ann[/name]/[name]Anne[/name] as a middle name even though it has been overdone.

I like [name]Anna[/name] too but I feel like [name]Anne[/name] is less common than [name]Anna[/name], but is anne too hard to say?

Oh! And the name [name]Penny[/name], WDYT?

If you really like [name]Anne[/name], then go for it. It is common, but a classic for a reason. I really love [name]Annabelle[/name]…unfortuantely my husband wouldn’t go for it.

[name]Penny[/name] is so fun as a nn for [name]Penelope[/name].
[name]Anne[/name] is a very pretty name.

I love elaborate names for girls and I still have a soft spot for [name]Anne[/name]–she could very well stand out amidst all the Isabellas and Madisons. I like [name]Penny[/name], too, as a nickname for [name]Penelope[/name].

I love [name]Anne[/name], too. I think it’s elegance and simplicity are amazing, and every [name]Anne[/name]/[name]Annie[/name] I’ve ever known (including [name]Anne[/name] of [name]Green[/name] Gables and [name]Little[/name] Orphan [name]Annie[/name]) has been spunky and bright. It’s only #499 in popularity, too, so that’s a breath of fresh air.

I love [name]Anneliese[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name], too.

Like [name]Susan[/name] said, I think [name]Penny[/name] is cute nickname for [name]Penelope[/name], but I personally don’t care for it on its own.

Good luck!

I love [name]Anne[/name]! When I was little I had a phase where I named all my dolls [name]Annie[/name]! My grandma is [name]Ann[/name], and that’s my mom’s middle name, too. But I prefer the [name]Anne[/name] spelling. [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Anne[/name] is adorable! As is [name]Penny[/name] [name]Anne[/name]. [name]Anne[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] is sweet, too. And I’m not sure what you mean about it being hard to say, it certainly isn’t hard for me to say.

[name]Anne[/name] is a beautifully understated name, [name]IMO[/name] - and I’m happy to see her up front. I don’t think she’s too awkward to say at all; quite the opposite, and she’d age exceptionally well!

Despite me thinking she is much too insubstantial for a given first name, I have a bit of a soft spot for [name]Penny[/name] - she’s just so happy and buoyant and adorable. [name]Penelope[/name] nn [name]Penny[/name] would be divine!

I think [name]Anne[/name] is a beautiful and classic name! I dont think you need to fancy it up (although I do like [name]Annika[/name]). My niece is an [name]Anne[/name] (nn [name]Annie[/name]) and she is soooo adorable! I would absolutely name my daughter [name]Anne[/name], but my last name is [name]Yann[/name]. [name]Anne[/name] [name]Yann[/name] - Big no no. Stick with your gut!

I really like [name]Anne[/name] nn [name]Annie[/name].

[name]Anne[/name] always reminds me of “[name]Anne[/name] of [name]Green[/name] Gables”, so it feels warm, spunky, and infinitely sweet to me. I love [name]Anna[/name] as well (and the nn [name]Annie[/name] is just too cute for a little gal). I like [name]Penny[/name], but only as a nn for [name]Penelope[/name]. [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Anne[/name] is very fantastic!
