Anneliese, Liselotte or Elisabeth?

Which do you prefer and why? [name_f]Liselotte[/name_f] can also be spelled as [name_f]Lieselotte[/name_f].

For the nicknames I thought of [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], but if someone else has ideas, they are welcome.

I prefer [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], and I like [name_f]Ilse[/name_f] rather than [name_f]Elsa[/name_f].

[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is my favourite - sleek, sweet, elegant and stylish - somewhere between familiar and distinctive.

[name_f]Liselotte[/name_f] is my next choice, sort of magical and intriguing.

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is nice, solid and versatile, but it doesn’t sparkle when sat next to [name_f]Liselotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] for me.

For nicknames, I’d consider:

[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]: [name_f]Nel[/name_f], [name_f]Nell[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], Neeley, [name_f]Lissie[/name_f], [name_f]Alise[/name_f], [name_f]Anni[/name_f]

[name_f]Liselotte[/name_f]: [name_f]Lotta[/name_f], [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], [name_f]Lissie[/name_f], [name_f]Lolly[/name_f], [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_u]Otter[/name_u], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], Elette

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]: [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Lissie[/name_f], [name_f]Libby[/name_f], [name_u]Abbie[/name_u], [name_f]Betsy[/name_f], [name_f]Bee[/name_f], [name_u]Eli[/name_u], [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_f]Effie[/name_f]

Oh, I love all of these names! As a first name, I would choose the forever classic, yet youthful [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]. [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is a bit too frilly for my liking, but I am 100% on board for other (fancier) people! [name_f]Liselotte[/name_f] would make for a lovely middle name.

[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] then [name_f]Lieselotte[/name_f]! (nn [name_f]Liesl[/name_f], [name_f]Essie[/name_f], [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], [name_u]Ottie[/name_u], [name_u]Lisa[/name_u], [name_f]Lissy[/name_f], Lis, Li)

I like [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f].

[name_f]Lieselotte[/name_f] is too whimsical for me and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], while fine, isn’t as pretty to me as [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f].

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] for me! I especially like it with the S. I would use Elsie/Elsa or probably just “Lil” for a nn.

I’ve never liked the “Annel” part of [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] - it sounds like the end of the digestive tract to put it delicately. It’s also not helped by all the Annelieses I’ve met being pretty non-dynamic as people.

I love both [name_f]Liesel[/name_f] and Lotte/Lotta but it’s probably just that bit too frilly together. Is it an A or T ending name? It’s very magical though and I’d be thrilled to meet a [name_f]Liselotte[/name_f]!

I absolutely lovelovelove all three! I think I would choose Elisabeth myself in real life, but I actually love Anneliese and Lieselotte the best. It’s just that Anna-Liisa is a common name in my country and Anneliese feels too similar to it (so it feels less magical). Liselotte has this cutsie little girl energy in my language (Lotte is a popular cartoon character. There’s also 2 separate children’s book characters named Lotta. Plus the fact that Liisa/Liis is a common name here :smiling_face_with_tear:). But honestly they are so pretty, I think I should not care, cause I don’t even live in my homeland right now

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is my favorite, followed closely by [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]! There’s a huge variety of [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] nicknames I can think of – here are my top choices:

  • [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Libby[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Elfie[/name_f] (pretty stretchy but I love it)
  • [name_f]Betty[/name_f]

[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] is still very sweet, she’s just so Frozen in my mind

I like [name_f]Liselotte[/name_f] (spelled this way rather than the other) and [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] the best. [name_f]Liselotte[/name_f] could be called [name_f]Lisel[/name_f] (and I love this spelling too). [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] could have the nickname [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f], [name_f]Lissie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lissy[/name_f], or my personal favorite [name_u]Elisa[/name_u] which is pronounced like the name [name_f]Elise[/name_f] with an A at the end - very flowy and pretty imo

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]

All three are lovely but [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is my favorite

[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]. [name_m]Easy[/name_m] to say and a little different. [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f] or even [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] could be the nickname.
