I’m trying to decide if this is a contender or not. My style seems to be changing a bit, and I think [name]Annora[/name] nn [name]Annie[/name] would fit in really well with my newer favorites ([name]Eva[/name] “[name]Evie[/name]”, [name]Catherine[/name] “[name]Kit[/name]/[name]Kitty[/name]”, [name]Tess[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] “[name]Posy[/name]”, etc.), and the nn [name]Annie[/name] honors my grandmother. Thoughts on [name]Annora[/name]? [name]Worth[/name] keeping? Already I’m trying to fit [name]Eva[/name], [name]Catherine[/name], and [name]Tess[/name] into one name spot, but I’m guessing if I kept [name]Annora[/name] I would nix [name]Hannah[/name] from my top 10. [name]Annora[/name] and [name]Hannah[/name] are a bit close for sisters, I think. And both would honor my grandmother…
I like [name]Annora[/name], but I don’t like the [name]Nora[/name] sound. I prefer [name]Anina[/name] (which I love!!!)
[name]Annora[/name] is such a beautiful and underused name. It does fit well with your newer favorites.
I like [name]Annora[/name] a lot. You could use [name]Annie[/name] or [name]Nora[/name] as NNs. I love [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Lenore[/name] [name]Claire[/name] so much though that I don’t think I could ever vote against it!
[name]Lindsay[/name] - I figured you’d say that! TBH, I love [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Lenore[/name] way too much to give it up, too, but I’m really loving [name]Annora[/name] lately, too. For totally different reasons as I love [name]Hannah[/name]. I think [name]Annora[/name] fits much better with [name]Eva[/name]/[name]Catherine[/name]/[name]Tess[/name]/[name]Josephine[/name]/etc., and [name]Hannah[/name] with [name]Isabelle[/name]/[name]Arianne[/name]/[name]Olivia[/name]/[name]Violet[/name]/[name]Rachel[/name]/[name]Liliana[/name]/[name]Charlotte[/name]. I don’t know what I’ll end up doing. I really don’t need another name to add to the mix, but I’m really loving [name]Annora[/name] today! FWIW, I wouldn’t use [name]Nora[/name], at all. [name]Just[/name] [name]Annora[/name]/[name]Annie[/name]. I don’t really love [name]Nora[/name].
[name]Ive[/name] been thinking about it too lately. Yes, i think [name]Annora[/name] is great with your new list and [name]Hannah[/name] with the old list.
I know of a sibset around here Cerilene, Japtheth, and twins [name]Annora[/name] and [name]Brighton[/name].
[name]Annora[/name] is really pretty
[name]Annora[/name] is lovely, and I think she goes quite nicely with your other favorites. My combo picks would probably be [name]Annora[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] or [name]Annora[/name] [name]Josephine[/name].
I love [name]Annora[/name] (and [name]Honora[/name]), [name]Annie[/name] is sweet, but [name]Nora[/name] is way better.
@garnet - I know there’s someone else on here who has [name]Annora[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] on her list, or has in the past–I like it, but I’m just not sold on [name]Juliet[/name]. Not yet. I love [name]Shakespeare[/name] but honestly [name]Romeo[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] are completely overrated (imo), and by default their names seem to be, too. I would much prefer [name]Hero[/name] or [name]Viola[/name] or [name]Emilia[/name] as a Shakespearean namesake! I love [name]Josephine[/name] lately, but I’m not sure about [name]Annora[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], somehow it doesn’t seem to sit quite right with me. I had been thinking about [name]Annora[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]June[/name]. All three names honor separate family members, in roundabout ways.
@emelis - thanks. But as I stated earlier, I don’t like [name]Nora[/name]. Not really at all. So she’d just be [name]Annora[/name] or [name]Annie[/name], if I ever got to use it.
