I have recently revealed to friends and family that I am expecting for the third time. Me and DH visited the hospital yesterday and discovered we are expecting twin girls! This means we will have 4 children, and our first daughters. We waited until we could know the gender of the baby(ies) before telling anyone, just as we did with my two sons, even though it gets pretty obvious that you’re having a baby. I am due in [name_u]December[/name_u]. That makes it one baby each month starting in [name_f]September[/name_f] for us in the Moms Group!
We’d like some criticism and thoughts on some names we like so far and maybe take some name suggestions? I don’t know much about baby name styles, but maybe you can tell from what names we like? Their brothers are [name_m]Levi[/name_m] [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] (age 5) and
[name_m]Lawson[/name_m] [name_u]Remi[/name_u] (age 2).
We also really want these names to go well with their siblings’ names. I am really hoping we can nail down a great girls names pair so that one twin doesn’t end up having a simpler or way more elaborate name. Am I too worried?
EDIT: Some events have occurred which has resulted in the disbanding of the group. This account will no longer be active. Lucy and Daniella have made a new accounts.
I really like [name_f]Nina[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], they are short, sweet and spunky and have two-syllables just as your boys’ names. It’s a fun way to subtly match.
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] (or [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]) as a set to go with [name_m]Lawson[/name_m] and [name_m]Levi[/name_m]!
So, so sweet.
As someone who is a twin herself, I’d avoid having both girls’ names end in the -y sound, but that’s just a person preference (also, because then [name_m]Lawson[/name_m] might feel left out).
I like [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] from your list. Funny enough, I know a pair of twins who are [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] and I think it works beautifully. [name_f]Molly[/name_f] & [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] would be adorable too!
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] - I love the names [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and [name_m]Levi[/name_m], but that’s because they sound exotic together. [name_m]Lawson[/name_m] would look really plain next to them. Still, [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] is such a great name.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] - too plain, and European sounding. [name_f]Annie[/name_f] would work but it’s not very exciting.
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] - lovely, great style with [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and [name_m]Lawson[/name_m]
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u] - sounds a little bit masculine with the smooth boys’ names.
[name_f]Lillie[/name_f]-[name_f]May[/name_f] - don’t you think all the "L"s are tongue-twister-y? Not to mention it’s too cutesy.
[name_f]Nina[/name_f] - again, sounds too European. Doesn’t go well with your boys names.
[name_f]Jessamy[/name_f] - I love this! I think it sounds absolutely gorgeous with [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and [name_m]Lawson[/name_m]. They would each have unique-sounding names and be stylish as a group.
[name_f]Thessaly[/name_f] - you know what? Same comment as [name_f]Jessamy[/name_f]. It’s beautiful!
Congratulations! [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought - Have you considered [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] (no-[name_f]EMMY[/name_f]) instead of [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] as I think it has a bit of a European vibe and would be beautiful alongside [name_f]Nina[/name_f]. The boys’ names would both begin with L and the girls with N. I think [name_f]Jessamy[/name_f] and [name_f]Thessaly[/name_f] seem too close but they remind me of [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] ([name_m]Zan[/name_m]-THEE) and I think [name_f]Jessamy[/name_f] and [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] would be lovely together. [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] would be lovely too. Maybe [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]?
Thanks so much!
Me and DH just love [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], although we prefer the spelling [name_f]Zanthe[/name_f]. [name_f]Zanthe[/name_f] just rose to the very top of our name list, and we think it’s definitely going to be a keeper. Thank you for suggesting it!
If you did want to go out and use L names to match the boys:
[name_f]Lilliana[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f] and [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] and [name_f]Lara[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]
Others:
[name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] and [name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] and [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] and [name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Lacey[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Mia[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]April[/name_f] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]
[name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] and [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Holly[/name_f] and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] and [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
From your list, I think [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] sounds good with your boys. It is sweet and and little spunky… I think that would be a good style for your girls. I really like [name_f]Lillie[/name_f]-[name_f]May[/name_f] as well, but too many L’s would look odd…
