Another boy - struggling!

We are having another boy, we have a son [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u]. He almost always goes by [name_u]Max[/name_u], our surname is [name_m]Fisher[/name_m].

What boys names would you say go well with [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]. Ideally not a name starting with ‘A’ as both parents have A names. I am having a wobble, our favourite name is [name_m]Casper[/name_m] but my family don’t really like it or my friends. It was also my favourite for our first son.

But I don’t know if if looks strange we the same er ending [name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m], it is also quite unknown in the UK ranking around 250 mark and I worry when we have given our first son a popular name.

Some other names I like but wont be using
[name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] - too biblical but like the softness
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] - too many, don’t like [name_u]Theo[/name_u]
[name_m]Alfred[/name_m] - like [name_m]Alf[/name_m], don’t like [name_u]Alfie[/name_u]
[name_m]Ralph[/name_m] - difficult to say with our surname?
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] - like [name_m]Seb[/name_m] not sure on the whole name

Thank you!

It ranks 210 in the UK now  I’ve met two little Caspers - no one seems to find it strange when they introduced themselves. I think [name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] sounds fine!

A few ideas:

[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m]
[name_m]Otto[/name_m]
[name_m]Otis[/name_m]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_u]Brody[/name_u]
[name_u]Evan[/name_u]
[name_u]Julian[/name_u]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_u]Toby[/name_u]
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u]

I think [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] works great

I really like [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] from your list. [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is my favourite nickname for [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], if you wanted a different short form for it. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is more popular and is probably more expected with [name_u]Max[/name_u], if he’s never known as [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m]. I have however, met a couple of little Caspers that only ever got positive reactions to their names. One of which went by their nickname [name_u]Cass[/name_u], which might feel more familiar?

Some ideas;
[name_u]Max[/name_u] &

[name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
[name_u]Percy[/name_u]
Leonard/Lenny
[name_u]Elijah[/name_u]
[name_u]Jensen[/name_u]
[name_u]Jasper[/name_u]

I think [name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] is fine – not ideal, but also not enough to warrant a ‘why would his parents do that!’ kind of reaction. I’m not in the UK, so can’t speak to the popularity. You’ve probably already considered alternatives to [name_m]Casper[/name_m], but would [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_m]Cassian[/name_m], or [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] appeal?

[name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] is absolutely gorgeous really.
I have both names on my list.

I would use [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. [name_u]Perfect[/name_u].

I think Maximilian/Max & [name_m]Casper[/name_m] are a lovely set! I think [name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] sounds just fine.

Perhaps Rafael/ [name_m]Raphael[/name_m]? Similar to [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] and [name_m]Ralph[/name_m]. “Rafa” as a nickname😊

[name_m]Casper[/name_m] is cute! It really comes down to what you like compared to family/friends.

I think you should go for [name_m]Casper[/name_m]! [name_u]Max[/name_u] & [name_m]Casper[/name_m] sound adorable together!

Other ideas:

[name_m]Louis[/name_m]
[name_u]Nolan[/name_u]
[name_u]Wesley[/name_u]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_m]Leopold[/name_m] / [name_u]Leo[/name_u]
[name_m]Laurent[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugh[/name_m]
[name_u]Milo[/name_u]

If you love [name_m]Casper[/name_m], but not the -er ending, use [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]! I love [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]!

What about [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] as a slight variation that your family may approve?

Have you considered:
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_u]Arthur[/name_u]
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m]
[name_m]Edwin[/name_m]

I think you should choose the name you love most and not base the decision on what your family approves of or your friends like - they’re not giving birth to your baby. [name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] is lovely and goes beautifully with [name_u]Max[/name_u]. Use [name_m]Casper[/name_m]! 🩶

[name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] is not ‘too biblical’.

[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]

I don’t love the flow of [name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]. I agree that the -er ending is a bit much when paired. I don’t hate [name_m]Casper[/name_m] on its own though.

[name_m]Lewis[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]
[name_m]Nicolai[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]
[name_u]Wesley[/name_u] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]
[name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]

Ooh I like pp suggestion of [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]! But I also don’t think think [name_m]Casper[/name_m] sounds that bad with surname.
