Another one.. Serena- WDYT?

I’m absolutely fried trying to think of names and my husband is anything but a help. Our baby is due next week (gender unknown) and if it’s a girl I can honestly say I have no clue what name we might use. While trying to discuss names with my husband that have been in the running all along, he threw this one out at me. What do you think of [name_f]Serena[/name_f]? I find it very pretty but I guess never thought it could fit in our family… Siblings [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_f]Brenna[/name_f], last name similar to [name_u]McCarthy[/name_u]. No hard feelings here- even if I did get on board he’d probably have something else in mind tomorrow anyway. Ugh!

I adore [name_f]Serena[/name_f]. However, I think it’s close to [name_f]Brenna[/name_f]. Go for it if it doesn’t bother you, otherwise, I’ll say no.

I like [name_f]Serena[/name_f] :slight_smile: It’s close to [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] but not too close I think. It fits very well with [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] and also with [name_u]Mason[/name_u].

I hadn’t thought of how close [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] as [name_f]Serena[/name_f] were. They both basically have that “rena” ending in there. When saying them out loud they don’t sound too alike (as I pronounce [name_f]Serena[/name_f] SER-EE-[name_m]NUH[/name_m]) but visually they’re awfully similar! Thanks for pointing that out :slight_smile:

[name_f]Serena[/name_f] is cute. I think that because they sound different it wouldn’t matter that they are spelled similarly.
