Antenatal classes

My partner and I will start TTC soon after graduation (next summer). We were discussing pregnancy last night and my partner said he would like to attend antenatal classes when we’re expecting.

I’m training to be a midwife and as of next [name_f]September[/name_f] will be working as one. As such I’m fairly knowledgable about pregnancy, birth and infant feeding. I understand why my partner wants to go to classes and think for him they would be very beneficial. However, I would feel extremely uncomfortable at antenatal classes, especially ones by the company my partner would choose to have them with, and wouldn’t want people there knowing my profession. I know my partner wouldn’t want to go by himself either and I would like the opportunity to meet other expecting parents socially. Would you ladies, or gents, have any suggestions on how we could comprimise or find classes that I wouldn’t feel so uncomfortable at?

You dont need to tell anyone what you do for a living! [name_m]Just[/name_m] go and enjoy the social aspect of it!

Another option is that some places provide private classes in your home! You could do that and avoid anyone wondering why you are there!

And congrats on almost graduating! Midwives are awesome!
