Anwen, Arwen, Aspen...?

Hello Berries!

Recently, I’ve been toying with these three names. Normally I go for longer, traditional names like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], but [name_f]Arwen[/name_f], [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] and [name_f]Anwen[/name_f] have stood out to me for some reason and am considering adding them to the shortlist!

[name_f]Arwen[/name_f] is probably my favourite at the moment, but I still very much enjoy [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] and [name_f]Anwen[/name_f] (which could get [name_f]Annie[/name_f] sometimes as a nickname - which I love).

BUT
They’re too similar for sisters, are they not? If so, which one do you like best? What do you think?

Thanks

I like [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] and [name_f]Anwen[/name_f] a lot for their lovely Welsh beauty. [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] is too naturey for me personally and just feels a bit too trendy.

I think my favourite is [name_u]Arden[/name_u] though, it’s meaning is gorgeous and I love its Shakespearean history.

I agree with @Oliviasarah . [name_u]Arden[/name_u] is my favorite too .

From the ones you listed i love [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] . Such a great name .

Of the three, I think I like [name_f]Anwen[/name_f] best.

That said, I’ve not really thought much about [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] until now, and, well, there’s something really nice about it on a girl I must say. It’s light and airy, sweet and zesty…yeah, I like it.

[name_f]Arwen[/name_f] is my favorite! [name_f]Anwen[/name_f] seems like it is missing something, and [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] is too place-name and trendy for me. I guess it doesn’t help that I’ve only seen it as [name_u]Aspyn[/name_u].

Haha, I was only recently informed (as in, the last two or so hours) that it is actually a place in [name_u]Colorado[/name_u]. Had no idea (non-American and sucky at geography)! It kinda turned me off it a bit, in all honesty, but didn’t want to rule it out completely… Still like it though.

LOL! Yeah, it is the first thing I think of. But, for someone outside the US, the name is much more usable.

Thanks everyone for your replies!

I’ve decided to cut [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] from my almost-short list - the fact that it’s a place name has rather turned me off it (sighs damn you Americans :P).

Adding [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] to the list, and [name_f]Anwen[/name_f] is still in consideration (it’s kinda awkward to say out loud at first, I’ve noticed).

Again, thanks for your opinions! Greatly appreciated.
