Hello, I am new here but a certified name nerd I have four kids: [name]Ethan[/name], [name]Aidan[/name], [name]Julian[/name], and [name]Audrey[/name]. Cringe all you want at the popularity!
I am trying to expand my boysâ list. Here is what is left that DH didnât cut down. My favorite is [name]Stellan[/name], his is [name]Grant[/name]. Hereâs the full list:
[name]Grant[/name]
[name]Elias[/name]
[name]Elliott[/name]
[name]Bennett[/name]
[name]Cohen[/name]
[name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Ezra[/name]
[name]Caelan[/name] (too feminine now?)
[name]Gabriel[/name] (would probably use as MN only, I donât like â[name]Gabe[/name]â)
[name]Drew[/name]
[name]Cullen[/name] (not since Twilight, thoughâŚ)
[name]Joel[/name]
[name]Maxwell[/name]
[name]Torin[/name]
[name]Stellan[/name]
[name]Simon[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Holden[/name]
I find it hard to break my trend of at least ending with an n for boysâ names. If I were to have another girl ever, I would use [name]Lyra[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name]. Any ideas for boys to add to my list?
I love your kidsâ names - a great set and individually all strong and lovely names! For another boy, it might be nice to have 3 syllables so that [name]Julian[/name] isnât the only one, so for that reason I like [name]Harrison[/name] (to stick with ânâ) or [name]Elliott[/name] - but [name]Harrison[/name] is a little more surname-y than your others and less timeless. [name]Gabriel[/name] would work too, of course, but I bet [name]Gabe[/name] is hard to avoid. If the number of syllables isnât important to you, I agree that [name]Grant[/name] would be a great addition, also [name]Simon[/name] and [name]Cullen[/name].
[name]Grant[/name]**
[name]Elias[/name] - not a great fit imo and nn [name]Eli[/name] is even less so
[name]Elliott[/name]**
[name]Bennett[/name] - nice but prefer [name]Elliott[/name]
[name]Cohen[/name]
[name]Harrison[/name]*
[name]Ezra[/name]
[name]Caelan[/name] (too feminine now?) yes, probably too feminine
[name]Gabriel[/name]
[name]Drew[/name] - I think [name]Andrew[/name] would be better but even so itâs not as strong as the other boys imo
[name]Cullen[/name]** - maybe if Twilight fizzles before you have another baby because this would be great!
[name]Joel[/name]
[name]Maxwell[/name] - full name fits but Iâm not sure about [name]Max[/name]
[name]Torin[/name] - makes me think of torpid - might just be me
[name]Stellan[/name] - I like it, but with [name]Stella[/name] up for the girls, it seems a little feminine
[name]Simon[/name]**
[name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Holden[/name]
I like [name]Stellan[/name] and [name]Grant[/name] and think they both sound good with the other childrenâs names. I like [name]Stellen[/name] just a bit more. You have a lot of good names on your list and I like all of them. The names I think you should let go of are the ones you have expressed doubts about. I also donât think [name]Cohen[/name] sounds good with the siblings names.
Other ideas-
[name]Tristan[/name]
[name]Seth[/name]
[name]Graham[/name]
[name]Brice[/name]
[name]Ross[/name]
[name]Callum[/name]
[name]Dane[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name]
[name]Davin[/name]
[name]Corbin[/name]
[name]Wyatt[/name]
[name]Colin[/name]
[name]Shane[/name]
[name]Sawyer[/name]
[name]Shepherd[/name]
[name]Dashiell[/name]
Not cringing at all - I [name]LOVE[/name] your childrenâs names!!! And I think they work wonderfully together. They may be relatively popular, but they are all timeless classics and none feel at all trendy. Are you expected another little boy or are you just thinking?
From your list, my very favorites are [name]Elias[/name], [name]Elliott[/name], [name]Ezra[/name] and [name]Gabriel[/name]. Next to his brothers, Iâd probably choose [name]Gabriel[/name]. Not sure if you ever call [name]Ethan[/name] just E for short, but it seems like that might be a possibility, in which case it just doesnât seem right to have another E-named child. I also just happen to think [name]Gabriel[/name] or [name]Gabe[/name] would fit right in, especially next to [name]Julian[/name]. If you ever have another little girl, I would love to see a [name]Vivian[/name] or a [name]Lucille[/name] joint this sibset
[name]Grant[/name]*
[name]Bennett[/name]**
[name]Cohen[/name]
[name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Caelan[/name] (too feminine now?) - yes, too feminine
[name]Gabriel[/name] (would probably use as MN only, I donât like â[name]Gabe[/name]â)
[name]Drew[/name] - to me this just doesnât fit.
[name]Cullen[/name] (not since Twilight, thoughâŚ) - would be nice if you can get past Twilight
[name]Joel[/name] - see [name]Drew[/name]
[name]Maxwell[/name]*
[name]Torin[/name]
[name]Stellan[/name]
[name]Simon[/name]*
[name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Holden[/name]
I love your kids names too, yes [name]Ethan[/name] and [name]Aidan[/name] are popular but someone in your set they donât feel like trendy choices at all. And I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Audrey[/name] so much! It would be at the top of my list if it werenât my nieceâs middle name!
I really like both [name]Stellan[/name] and [name]Grant[/name]. [name]Stellan[/name] has the N ending your other boys share, so that might be nice. If this is your last child I would probably go with an -N ender for a boy. But if you plan to have more I donât think itâs too late to break the pattern. -N aside, I think I slightly prefer [name]Grant[/name] with the sibset. It makes it feel⌠hmm, more Scottish/Irish or something? Haha, I donât know why I think that but I guess it makes [name]Aidan[/name] feel like a heritage choice. Either one would be really great though.
I would not use a vowel name since all your kids have it except [name]Julian[/name].
If it were me I think I would choose [name]Bennett[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name]. I like [name]Grant[/name] [name]Cullen[/name] too. Your whole list is very nice.
