I posted that we were down to [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] for our daughter born in [name_u]June[/name_u].
I initially liked [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] (our first daughter’s name is 3-syllable and gender-neutral, [name_u]Delaney[/name_u]) and I thought this worked.
My husband is concerned that the NN [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] is too masculine, also he doesn’t like the NN [name_f]Gina[/name_f]. They are both fine to me. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] seems a little too ‘buttoned up’ next to her sister’s name. [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] I’m not sure how I feel about.
We both like [name_u]June[/name_u] and it does seem to fit with [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] as maybe a first. Problem is I can’t figure out a middle name. Our last name is 2 syllables and ‘harsh’ sounding (starts with a G), so I would be looking for a 3 or 4 syllable ‘soft’ name that is not a vowel (to avoid name initial spellings).
[name_u]June[/name_u] would be so fresh and different as a first name! I think it gets stuck in the middle name spot too often. I like [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f], but how about these as middle names?
[name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Callista[/name_f]
[name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Liora[/name_f]
[name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_u]June[/name_u] Tuscany
[name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
What about [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]? Then she doesn’t need a nickname. [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] would be lovely!
Congrats! My birthday is in [name_u]June[/name_u], on the summer solstice, so my parents gave me the middle name [name_f]Summer[/name_f]. I really love honouring the date of birth of a child when it comes to naming!
I like [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] and the suggested [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]! [name_u]June[/name_u] goes great with [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] and I agree, it’s so fresh as a first name.
Too bad he thinks [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] is too masculine to use, I definitely disagree! I think it’s adorable on a little lady; plus she has [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] to use when/if she grows out of [name_u]Georgie[/name_u]. [name_u]June[/name_u] is a great name as well, but I do think [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] fits just a little better with [name_u]Delaney[/name_u]. Middle name options:
I think [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is delightful, and [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] and [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] are so cute together! If you’re hesitant with [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] (which I find adorable, personally!) or [name_f]Gina[/name_f], you could always opt for [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] or [name_f]Gia[/name_f]. I’m not sure if [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] gets a nn, but the one [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] I knew in the past went by [name_u]Laney[/name_u], and I think [name_u]Laney[/name_u] and [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] are so cute together! Same with [name_f]Della[/name_f] and [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] or [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] or [name_f]Annie[/name_f] and [name_f]Gigi[/name_f]…
Good luck!
ETA: Just realized that I must’ve missed half of this thread somehow, and now I realize why there are so many June suggestions! (My bad!) My first idea was June Ophelia, which I think is really nice, followed by June Margot/June Margaux. What about:
June Juliet
June Emilia
June Francesca
June Eloise
June Elodie
June Elowen
June Georgina
June Georgiana
June Magdalena/June Maddalena
June Octavia
