Any ideas on how to honor Rachelle and Brittney?

Trying to think of names that I can use to honor my husband’s mom [name_f]Rachelle[/name_f] or my life long best friend [name_f]Brittney[/name_f] with out using the outdated and unliked(to me) names. [name_f]Rachelle[/name_f] goes by [name_u]Shelley[/name_u] but I’m not fond of that either… [name_f]TIA[/name_f]

[name_f]Brittney[/name_f] - [name_f]Boudicca[/name_f] (strong link to [name_f]Britannia[/name_f]), [name_m]Britain[/name_m], [name_u]London[/name_u] (same as [name_f]Boudicca[/name_f]), [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] (B name honor), [name_f]Britannia[/name_f], [name_u]Brett[/name_u] for a boy

[name_f]Rachelle[/name_f] - Chett for a boy, [name_m]Cello[/name_m] (musical instrument or Chello), Charllee ([name_u]Charlie[/name_u], but with creative spelling and rearranging the letters of [name_f]Rachelle[/name_f])

[name_f]Rachelle[/name_f]:
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_u]Rae[/name_u]
[name_f]Elly[/name_f]
[name_f]Rochelle[/name_f]

[name_f]Brittney[/name_f]:
[name_u]Whitney[/name_u]
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f]
[name_f]Betty[/name_f]
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f]
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]

I’m trying come up with combos that seem closer to your style but incorporate both initials.

[name_f]Regina[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Britta[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Brigitte[/name_f] [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f]

I knew a Rachelle that went by Ellie. And another who went by a Rocky.

Ideas:
Ray
Britta
Bree
Bria

[name_f]Brielle[/name_f] seems like a cute and sweet way to honor both!

If you’re not fond of [name_f]Rachelle[/name_f], I assume you’re not fond of [name_f]Rachel[/name_f], either? I’ve been a lifelong fan, but I understand a lot aren’t. I came across some variants over the years, like [name_f]Rahel[/name_f] and Racheline, which I think are really lovely, but if you don’t, there’s also [name_f]Raquel[/name_f], or maybe even [name_f]Ella[/name_f]/[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or another [name_f]Elle[/name_f] variant? You could do an [name_f]Ella[/name_f] name with [name_u]Rae[/name_u] as a middle, potentially, but that probably wouldn’t honor them both. I think something like [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] or something would be sweet and subtly honor a [name_f]Rachelle[/name_f].

As far as [name_f]Brittney[/name_f], [name_f]Britta[/name_f] would be my choice, but [name_f]Brittan[/name_f] is super cool, too. I always liked it more for a boy, but it seems to be well liked for a girl, too. Or maybe [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]/[name_f]Brenna[/name_f]/[name_f]Brynna[/name_f]?

I agree that [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] could honor both, too.

Or maybe their initials? Something like [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] or [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_u]Rue[/name_u] or [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f] would be nice.

Good luck!

I love this idea! And it’s a really cute name as well!
