My grandmother who was very dear to me passed away a few days ago. I want to honor her by naming her Anna since it was her name and my family is okay with it. Her surname was Remarque and thats one of my surnames (i have 2). Any names that go with this surname in case my child is a Remarque. Im thinking Anna, Kristen, Erika or Idun

[name_f]Anna[/name_f] means grace so [name_f]Anya[/name_f], [name_f]Nancy[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Roseanne[/name_f] or [name_f]Anwen[/name_f] might work too

The only other that came to mind for me quickly is [name_f]Christiana[/name_f] or some variation of that - you still get [name_f]Anna[/name_f] in there but it might appeal to you because you mentioned liking [name_f]Kristen[/name_f]. [name_f]Christiana[/name_f] Remarque?

personally, I would avoid [name_f]Erika[/name_f] because there’s a famous [name_m]German[/name_m] Novelist [name_m]Erich[/name_m] [name_u]Maria[/name_u] Remarque who wrote ‘All Quiet on The Western Front’ and its quite a strong association that I would think of if i heard [name_f]Erika[/name_f] Remarque.
