Any names that have been ruined by the world?

Have you liked a name, and then it got ruined by society? Years ago, my friend loved [name_f]Anna[/name_f] (ah-na) for a girl, and not only would people pronounce it AN-a, it’s pretty much been ruined by Disney’s Frozen. Has this ever happened to you? What name was it?

Currently, [name_u]Cove[/name_u] is being ruined for me!

A lot of times names have been rendered unusable for me not because an association is bad but because it’s so strong and too close to not feel weird!

I feel this with [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. Its so pretty but its so tied to the princess.

I love the [name_f]Cora[/name_f]/Coralie, but now they remind me of Covid. [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_f]Clover[/name_f] (which I love) reminds me somewhat of this virus.
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] is a name I’ve always liked, but it’s now been associated with a couple of school shooters, unfortunately.

I really like the name [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], but in the UK I feel it is just too associated with the huge missing child case of [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] McCann and as she’s the same age as me it just sort of creeps me out a bit so whenever I hear that name I immediately think of her and I think a lot of other Brits do too x

Isis (for sadly obvious reasons)
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] (I don’t the hate Frozen but people constantly bringing it up would definitely annoy me)
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] (for the same reason as @MargotAbeline)
[name_f]Felicia[/name_f] (the “Bye [name_f]Felicia[/name_f]” meme)

Like SparkleNinja18 said, I really love [name_u]Cove[/name_u], and now while it isn’t ruined for me, I think a lot of people would associate it with Covid :frowning:
