Any opinions on these names? Thanks!

I’m having a baby in [name]July[/name] and we’re having a bit of a hard time deciding on a girls name! What do you think of:

[name]Rita[/name] (does this name sound fresh again yet?)
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Florence[/name] (love this name but not so keen on the nick names…)
[name]Matilda[/name] (Is this getting too popular now?)
[name]Frida[/name]

Or any suggestions? Thanks!

[name]Rita[/name] (does this name sound fresh again yet?) - No, it does not sound fresh to me yet. It may soon, but I don’t think it’s ready for it’s comeback. I more imagine an older, middle aged woman than a baby.

[name]Alice[/name] - Very cute, but not really my style. I somehow see a surge of this name in the near future, with vintage names becoming the new thing.

[name]Florence[/name] (love this name but not so keen on the nick names…) - Definitely not one of my favourites. It makes me think of old Great Aunt [name]Florence[/name] that your parents made you visit when you were 6, and she would tell you to come over so she could pinch your cheek. Sorry!

[name]Matilda[/name] (Is this getting too popular now?) - It does seem to be getting a little more popular, doesn’t it? I can definitely see it reaching the top (or topish) soon. Also not my style.

[name]Frida[/name] - I’m sorry, I only know one [name]Frida[/name] and she is older. I cannot imagine this on a little baby.

So as you can see, I am not particularly keen on any of your names. You seem to like older names, maybe just not my style. My favourite is [name]Alice[/name], though.

You might like [name]Fiona[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Hazel[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Harriet[/name] nn [name]Hattie[/name], [name]Anna[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] or [name]Dorothy[/name].

Good luck!

Thanks for your thoughts, yeah I think I do like the vintage type names. Thanks for your suggestions, there are a few I like in that list : )

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Florence[/name]! What is your middle name?

Either ‘[name]Caroline[/name]’ (family name) or ‘[name]Sunday[/name]’ (actually love this name but not brave enough to use as a first name…)

I love [name]Alice[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name].
