The SSA has posted the 2011 naming stats and I’m finding some of the rankings pretty interesting here in Michigan.
[name]Henry[/name] has jumped up to #49, which is maybe not surprising, but I wish it hadn’t!
I am surprised at the popularity of [name]Dominic[/name] (56), [name]Julian[/name] (84), and [name]Grant[/name] (99). Sadly, I’m not surprised at the various yooneek spellings of [name]Jackson[/name] ([name]Jaxon[/name], [name]Jaxson[/name]).
For the girls, [name]Evelyn[/name] came in at #23 and [name]Violet[/name] at #78. I’m sad to see [name]Khloe[/name] at #56 (jeez, Michiganders! Get it together!).
