Anya vs. Olivia

Hello everyone, me again, with what is hopefully the final time I’ll ask for help. I have less than two weeks to go, this is the last baby, and I’m fussing, I know I am.

For our first girl, we considered Olivia strongly as her middle name, but ultimately went with another instead. Since then, I know of 5 little Olivias in my family/acquaintance circle and it’s lost a bit of its sparkle to me. But I do think it is a beautiful name, my husband really loves it, and it keeps coming up in conversations. I have been coming back to Anya again and again, but just wanted to ask, which flows better?

Mila Anya Elizaveta or

Mila Olivia Elizaveta

Thanks so much again. I can’t believe I’m still doing this so close to the end, I swore I would have the name nailed down by now, but I keep going over it again and again and again.

[name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Anya[/name_f] flows more to me and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is just so common it is really not as special any more I think. [name_f]Anya[/name_f] is more unique.

Eek, so soon! Best of luck :four_leaf_clover:

Personally, I prefer the [name_f]Anya[/name_f] combo. [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] is a little bit repetitive for me, with all those I, L and V sounds. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] in particular are quite similar to my ear.

[name_f]Anya[/name_f] is the one you keep coming back to, and for me it’s a more distinctive name.

I’d go with the [name_f]Anya[/name_f] combination! It’s flows better with [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f]. Besides, [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is such a popular name, it just doesn’t do it for me anymore.

Definitely prefer the flow with [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] since its 4 syllables. Both are very pretty though [name_f]Anya[/name_f] is a little more plain for me.

I like [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] just because now she can have the nickname [name_f]Mae[/name_f]! So cute!

I think [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] flows better and since it’s a middle name, popularity shouldn’t be too much of a problem

[name_f]My[/name_f] vote goes to [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] because [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] is too long and repetitive.

Although I prefer [name_f]Anya[/name_f] as a first name, I think [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] flows better because the “a” at the end of the first name & start of the second in [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Anya[/name_f] is a bit awkward to me, whereas [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] rolls off the tongue. [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] & [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] do have repetitive il li sounds but I think in a nice lyrical way & they’re all light-sounding whereas [name_f]Anya[/name_f] is more a heavy vibe imo. Plus the meaning of [name_f]Anya[/name_f] is quite similar to [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] & [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is a bit different. Don’t worry about popularity or being too elaborate if it feels right!
