I had a feeling with all of my kids, and am wondering how common that is.
I did, but not a feeling - I woke one morning with really greasy hair. [name_m]Just[/name_m] one morning, but I never have greasy hair, and I just knew.
I did wait a day until after my period was due to test, but I knew it would be positive. That was my first pregnancy, so I might feel pregnant sooner with the next one. In hindsight, symptoms did start showing up about a week before I tested.
Not me personally, but a friend of mine who is due at the end of [name_u]June[/name_u]. She said she just knew the very night she conceived without any question.
I definitely did with my first. We had been trying for several months and I just felt different than I had in the months before. I didnt really have symptoms, I just knew. With my second I feel like I knew but was in denial as it was our first month trying. I completely went off coffee a week and a bit before the positive test - a sure sign!
Absolutely, coffee has been my biggest giveaway every time. And being suddenly SO sensitive to smells.
I didnât âknowâ as such, because I track my period (and had for a year prior) and we only had some bedroom activity on the first morning in my ovulation cycle, so my expectations were super low. But because I track my period, I know it is NEVER late (regularly on time almost to the time of day) when it didnât come I tested straight away and got a faint line! Tested again three days later and a very dark line (confirmed same day by a blood test)
I also didnât know at the time because it is my first pregnancy, but about 10 days prior to testing positive, I needed to pee. Like ALL THE TIME. I had no idea that was an early pregnancy symptom!
I did! Sore breasts and I start feeling like I need a nap on my lunch breaks!
I had a strong feeling. I was going through IUI with donor sperm, so I knew it was likely, but before the TWW was up I just felt different, so I did a home test a week before my blood test was due and it was positive.
I can now speak for myself and yes yes, I knew before it was possible to. I know almost right after ovulation. A bit like someone else mentioned above, it just felt different from the months before.
Kind of? I woke up in the middle of the night from the most vivid dream about child birth. I decided to get up to pee, sat down, and almost started peeing when I thought, OMG I need to pee on a stick. I jumped up, grabbed a test, peed in a cup, and then freaked out. (We had been trying for three years and suffered multiple losses.)
This was like the one cycle I didnât obsess over my symptoms because I was convinced conception wasnât possible. I had just had my HSG which showed a blocked tube on the right and of course my ovulation pain was on the right. Turns out my left fallopian tube actually reached over and got the egg from my right ovary. (Yep, thatâs a real thing!) And then that egg split and we got identical twins. Theyâll be one on the 23rd and I still canât believe theyâre here. <3
This only just happened to me! I was sitting at a dinner party on a [name_m]Saturday[/name_m] night, and it dawned on me slowly that my breasts were tender and kinda tingly. I had a mini internal panic attack realizing what that probably meant - we only just started not-not-trying, and Iâd only had one (irregular) cycle under my belt after stopping 10+ years of birth control.
I spent the whole next week questioning if my chest was actually tender or if I was imagining it, but the following Friday, I went for a jog and within the first few steps of running, each bounce made my boobs sore - and Iâm flat-chested, so exercise doesnât do that to me. I was still a few days out from when my period tracking app thought my period might come, but I took a test first thing the next morning just in caseâand I got a positive right away, no waiting or squinting for a faint line. Because my husband had been away on a business trip for the first part of the month and weâd had guests in town in our tiny apartment later in the month, I can say with almost 100% certainty that the time we DTD that did it was about one week prior to that dinner party. So while I canât say I knew for sure, my body was giving off noticeable signs within one week of conceiving.
Hahaha, I thought letting this post slip into the ether uncorrected, but Iâm back to eat crow. About two weeks after that HPT, at the strong encouragement of my gynecologist who did a blood test confirmation, my husband and I made a first appointment with an OB. We told her we thought it was still really early to be coming in (we estimatedâŚ6 weeks max?), but weâd heard my HCG levels were high and my mind had already run off with what ifs: what if itâs twins, what if itâs molar?
The OB was wonderful and was like, âLetâs just do an ultrasound and see what we see and then talk about things, OK?â Two seconds later, no searching necessary, there on the screen was something that was clearly shaped like a little human, and with the flip of a switch, there was the heart beat. She made a few quick measurements and said, âCongrats, Iâd say youâre about 10 weeks along.â WE WERE FLOORED. That âperiodâ must have been implantation bleeding; my one-week-after-conceiving sore boobs were, like, seven-weeks-after-conceiving sore boobs.
Needless to say, there are plenty of great stories here about knowing soon after conceiving⌠Mine just isnât one of them, LOL. [name_m]Count[/name_m] me in with the oblivious I-didnât-know-I-was-pregnant crowdâŚ
What a story. I experienced the same with implantation bleeding when we were expecting the second son, me and my husband were also thinking everything goes as usual. But it turned out to be âa false periodâ. But I clearly remember having sore boobs, though I wasnât really paying attention to this. According to this list, I guess I was about 4 weeks along at that moment. I guess If we ever going to conceive a third child, I wouldnât notice.
