[name]Ever[/name] since Nameberry switched to the new format, it wants me to download something every time I click to go to the website. No matter which computer I’m on, every time I click the website, a box pops up saying ‘You have chosen to dowload this file from Nameberry. File unknown. Source Nameberry.’ It always asks for me to either open it or save it, and obviously, I just close the box. I know neither of my computers have viruses, and it’s starting to get annoying. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yep, I’m having this exact problem - except for me it just downloads automatically. I noticed it first when I clicked on the main “nameberry” logo from the forums, I got an automatic download titled, cleverly, “download” and it thinks it’s a text file (though it’s blank).
Among the host of other technical issues that have popped up since the site re-launched.
My husband is a high-level web developer and I showed him many of the issues I’ve experienced… he just shook his head and said “if they’re developing the site themselves, fine… but if they’re paying someone to do this, the work is horribly shoddy.” It’s way too unstable to have been pushed to server as is. Clearly quality control was lax.

I’m sorry it just downloads by itself. That’s a way more frustrating problem than I’m having. Thank you for your reply. I’m glad to know that it’s not just me having this problem. I looked at the other glitch threads, but didn’t find anything like the problem we are having (although I could have missed it somewhere). I agree with your husband about the site. I really hope they didn’t pay for it.
