Anyone trying to conceive their first?

[name]Hi[/name], anyone on here trying to conceive their first?

Would be nice to know if anyone on here is in a similar situation.
I came off the pill (which I had been on for many years) in [name]September[/name] and let me cycles settle down a bit. We tried last cycle, over xmas but then my period arrived earlier than expected so it seems we missed the fertile window last time. This time we aren’t taking any chances and are making sure we try at least every other day (every day over fertile time if possible). So I’ll be due my period or a positive test on 30th [name]January[/name]… wish me luck!!

Congratulations in beginning your journey to parenthood!
Hoping you won’t be TTC too long and that you get a positive soon.
I’m not TTC right now but we will shortly start trying for our 3rd child. Be patient, you’ll get your positive eventually :slight_smile:
Best of luck! [name]Lucy[/name] xx

I getting ready to TTC my first child too! I hope it doesn’t take you too long to conceive! Good luck!

It takes an average of being off the pill 6 months before success, but less than a year. I came off in [name]June[/name] 2011, had been on for 8 years. We will be TTC in [name]May[/name]. My cycle is regular within 24hrs now and I can recognize when I ovulate. I’ve been using some fertility aps to help me track my body’s cycle, it’s been great. Good luck!

Yes! We’ll start officially trying for our first baby at the end of Feb, right after I visit my asthma doc. I’ve been off BC for 3 months now, gained the 10 lbs needed to (finally) be not underweight, have perfectly mapped cycles (thank you [name]Pink[/name] Pad iPhone app), visited my OB, and seen a pregnancy dietitian. Now nature has to do it’s thing I guess. (;

[name]Hope[/name] everyone is already on their prenatals and getting all their calcium. Goodluck ladies!

Cheers!!

Yes! This is our first month trying to conceive and my first month off the pill. I use fertilityfriend.com to chart my cycle and find out my cycle length and fertile time. Only 30% of women have the “typical” cycle length of 28days, ovulating at day 14, so it’s very beneficial in finding out when YOU ovulate. [name]Just[/name] from the knowledge I gained from the website, all the tutorials and information I have there, we’ve managed to time things right, so it just a waiting game now. [name]Hope[/name] you get a positive soon!!

I’m in 2 week wait now before testing! Scary. will keep you updated x
