I enjoy many word names and used to adore [name_f]Peach[/name_f] for a girl (still do in theory) but… I do think actually using a fruit name is a bit silly, especially as a first. It’s perfect for a cat though
For a pet, for a fun NB combo, for a character and maybe for a middle, sure, I think it could work. Not sure I can see it on a real life baby though - maybe that’s because my grandad jokingly called them monkey beds once (as in cots for apes) and now those sounds stand out to me this is a personal thing though so
I don’t like fruit names for humans. [name_f]Flower[/name_f] and nature names are lovely, but not fruit. I just had a silly thought of meeting a girl called [name_f]Banana[/name_f]!
But then you never know!
I think [name_f]Apricot[/name_f] has a really fun summery feel and works as a fun spunky middle name for something like [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] would be sweet. I wouldn’t have as a first name though I just can’t picture [name_f]Apricot[/name_f] upfront. Regarding [name_f]April[/name_f] I prefer [name_f]April[/name_f] to [name_f]Apricot[/name_f] I’ve just always loved [name_f]April[/name_f].
I like it as a pet name, and maybe as a middle name for a human. I wouldn’t use it as a first name, partially because no one can agree on whether to say app-rih-cot or ape-rih-cot.
