Arabella as a middle name

I love the name [name]Arabella[/name] as a middle name and am trying to come up with a first name that goes well with it. Any thoughts??

I only one I’ve come up with is [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Arabella[/name], which I think sounds great, but I’m not sure I actually like [name]Audrey[/name] all that much :stuck_out_tongue:

Something short and consonant-y would be best. Some ideas:

What about:

[name]Jane[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Anne[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Sylvie[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Camille[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Frances[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Helen[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Olive[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Iris[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Ianthe[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Alice[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]

This might sound obvious, but I’ve never heard of looking for a first name to go with a loved middle! Isn’t it always the opposite? So – to ask the obvious question – why not go with [name]Arabella[/name] (as you love it), and look for a middle name for that?

There have been such great suggestions from other posters, I’m sure I don’t have much to add. It seems to me that many choices are good with [name]Arabelle[/name] – one, two, or three syllables – girly girl or unisex. I like the contrast of [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Arabelle[/name] and [name]Auden[/name] [name]Arabella[/name], but I like [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] too – just in a different way. [name]Lilac[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] is cool. [name]Diantha[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] is very statuesque and striking. [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] is decorative and interesting.

If you like the alliteration with [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] (and I do), you might want to look at other “A” names. [name]Alice[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] is nice. I like [name]Ava[/name] [name]Arabelle[/name], except that [name]Ava[/name] is so popular. [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Arabella[/name], if you are the [name]Agatha[/name] type. [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]. And if you want a starlet, romantic heroine name to die for, [name]Amandine[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] just begs to have a novel written in her honor.

[name]Arabella[/name] is a great middle name!

Oh my goodness, so many fantastic suggestions! [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] are both on my list of first names, and I’m pretty sure I’m loving [name]Violet[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]

The reason I want [name]Arabella[/name] as the middle name is because I can’t think of a nice shortened version of [name]Arabella[/name] that isn’t [name]Bella[/name] (too Twilighty!). I like nick names (or short names) and I just can’t see myself saying [name]Arabella[/name] all the time, thus, middle name it is!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I’m mulling them over

I would shorten [name]Arabella[/name] to [name]Ari[/name], like airy…
