What do you think berries?
I’ve never been a fan but it suddenly grew on me. I need your opinions.
I am a fan – though it is overly feminine. I am not a huge fan of the nn [name]Bella[/name], would prefer the nn [name]Ara[/name] or [name]Ari[/name]. I am thinking the the name will eventually be shortened by her friends and such.
I think that [name]Arabella[/name] is a beautiful name. It’s classic and feminine at the same time. Looking at your signature it looks like it fits well with the other names you have such as [name]Vivienne[/name], [name]Florence[/name], Nicolash, [name]Victor[/name], [name]Fredric[/name], etc.
I [name]ADORE[/name] the name [name]Arabella[/name]. It is on my list along with other frilly names like [name]Isadora[/name].
mmm… not so much sorry… I do like [name]Araminta[/name], so i think the [name]Bella[/name] kills it for me i’m afraid. It reminds me of [name]Arabesque[/name]: the ballet term, but if you’re looking for a girly name that’s a good thing perhaps …
I know a little [name]Arabella[/name], she’s our pastors daughter. The name sounds so refreshing amongst all the [name]Isabella[/name]'s, [name]Annabella[/name]'s, and [name]Bella[/name]'s. I prefer the nickname [name]Ara[/name] or [name]Ari[/name] because [name]Bella[/name] is too popular for my taste. [name]Arabella[/name] sounds very feminine and princessy which is why I like it
I don’t think there is such thing as overly feminine or overly masculine. I think [name]Arabella[/name] is beautiful. I am really tired of all the [name]Bella[/name]'s running around, but [name]Arabella[/name] is the exception!
Honestly, not a fan. It’s rather annoying to me actually, has nothing special to it. [name]Just[/name] a lot of frill.
Very feminine and lush. I just feel everyone is grasping for any [name]Bella[/name]
type name at the moment so it isn’t appealing to me right now. If I
was forced to go with one of those names I would choose [name]Mirabella[/name].
I used to really, really, like it but it’s lost most of it’s charm for me. Also, I prefer the nn [name]Ari[/name]. [name]Bella[/name] annoys me to absolutely no end with it’s popularity.
It sounds infectious to me.
[name]Isabella[/name], fine, though not really my style… but I think it’s the “r” in [name]Arabella[/name] that just reminds me too much of Rubella. I can’t get past it.
I really like it. Although I wish [name]Arabelle[/name] soundedcless awkward.
I really want to like it, but for some reason I just can’t get into it. I think it just sounds like its trying too hard for some reason. The [name]Ara[/name] part just kind of looks unappealing to me for some reason, although I can’t tell you why. It just looks awkward or harsh.
I think it’s very beautiful. Not a fan of [name]Bella[/name] though…at all :/. But I really like [name]Ari[/name] and [name]Belle[/name] is cute. Super feminine and frilly. A bit too much for me personally. But would love it on someone else
I, too, am a fan. I love how frilly [name]Arabella[/name] is, and I find it so much fun to say. On the one hand, I [name]LOVE[/name] that it incorporates my two favorite nns ([name]Bella[/name] and [name]Ari[/name]), but that is the very reason why I wouldn’t use it–I can’t imagine not having both a [name]Bella[/name] and an [name]Ari[/name]! I also love that it means “prayerful”. I would love to meet a little [name]Arabella[/name].
I keep it in the back of my mind as a back-up/compromise option, should I not be able to get a future hypothetical SO to agree to either [name]Isabelle[/name]/[name]Isabella[/name] or [name]Arianne[/name], or even [name]Annabel[/name].
I was obsessed with the names [name]Arabella[/name] and [name]Aurora[/name] as a young child, so of course I love [name]Arabella[/name]. It’s the only -bella/belle name that I prefer with the ‘a’ at the end, as it does sound awkward as just [name]Arabelle[/name] (like you said). I met a little [name]Arabella[/name] a year ago and it made me so, so incredibly happy!
I loved it enough to use it :). Ours does go by [name]Bella[/name] more often than not (I know, some cringe pretty hard at that thought), but I can tell you now that it suits her very well (my LO is an epic princess, frilly, dancer kind of girl). I also call her by her full name often and [name]Belle[/name].
raptreverie - I love that those were two of your favorites as a kid, because I’ve seriously considered using [name]Aurora[/name] for another girl
I think it’s beautiful. [name]One[/name] of the few frillier options that I really like.
I love it.
