Arabelle, a sister for Patrick?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] guys, we are due at the start of Dec with a girl, our boy will be 3. We love [name_f]Olive[/name_f] but now are not going to go for it as i think it shares too many similar sounds with my name (think [name_f]Holly[/name_f]). It’s sad because I love [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and it has a family meaning, but I don’t want to risk it shortened to [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] and then we basically have the same name!

Now we’re on [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] (we’re in Australia so the pronunciation is like the ‘a’ in apple). I really like it and it’s been high on my name lists since I was a teenager. [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] is also beautiful but a bit too frilly for me. So, [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] it is… unless you have some suggestions!

Middle names are set (family significance): [name_f]Helen[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
Last name is like Jetson (two syllables)

[name_m]Just[/name_m] so you know our style, we also considered [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f].

Not keen on a J or J-sounding G name.

Thank you!

[name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] sounds lovely!

Honestly I don’t see the problem with [name_f]Olive[/name_f] that you are describing. I think it’s a lovely name and goes well with the middles. If you and SO love it, use it. [name_f]IMO[/name_f], it works better than [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] with the other names, but ultimately it’s what you want and see as the best fit for your little girl.

[name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] are gr at together. My favourite from your list, though, is [name_f]Iris[/name_f].
