Arbor? WDYT?

Recently I got to meet an [name]Arbor[/name]. I am not sure what I think of this name at all yet.

It was definitely a perfect fit for him though, thats for sure.
What do you guys think of [name]Arbor[/name]?

Hmmm. At first I didn’t really like it, but I think it’s the kind of name that grows on you. And with the right kid, it could be fabulous. I’m not sure it’s my taste, though.

I really like it. I don’t think it’s a name I’d choose, but I’d admire it on someone else’s son very much.

I really like it, but I thought girl when I saw it.

It’s on my list! Was this a child or an adult?
My only issue is that it has a sound that can easily be misheard- [name]Harbor[/name], [name]Harper[/name], [name]Arthur[/name], etc. I prefer it as a mn for that reason

It’s neat! I wouldn’t have thought of it myself, but it’s cool!

No, sorry, this is something grapes grow on in the garden. I can’t get around that.

I love [name]Arbor[/name]. I wouldn’t use it personally but I do like it.

[name]Harbor[/name] is a name that I would consider though for a boy, I love it. If girls can use [name]Marina[/name] then why can’t the boys use [name]Harbor[/name]?

I too think it would often be mistaken for Harbour- I already drop my 'H’s, so it sounds exactly like harbour to me. And as I already dislike most geographical names ([name]River[/name], [name]Forest[/name], [name]Heath[/name], [name]Moor[/name] etc), I’m not a fan.

Maybe because marina is written the same way in all English-speaking countries, harbour is not. If an American [name]Harbor[/name] came to the UK, he’d frequently have his name ‘misspelled’ as Harbour

It is a name that has grown on me lately. I used to think it was kind of odd, but I think I am starting to like it a lot. I do see it as a girl’s name though. I wouldn’t use it for a boy.

It sounds like Harbour…then I think of Harbour [name]Seal[/name].

Yes thats a good point about Harbour.

He was a teenager. He had spiked hair and a mischievous smile.

I think it’s actually quite nice.

I like it. I think it would work in the US where the confusion with [name]Harbor[/name] would be a non issue. I think its a nice choice for parents who also like [name]Cedar[/name], [name]Oak[/name], [name]Aspen[/name], and [name]Forrest[/name].

I like it, but I like it equally, maybe more, on a girl. (not sure if that matters to you) Also it looks misspelled to me because in [name]Canada[/name] it’s spelled “Arbour” but that’s surely not a problem for you if you live in the States.

[name]Arbor[/name] doesn’t quite feel like a name to me, plus pronunciation and spelling confusion issues prevent me from liking it.

Idk how i feel about it on a boy, but that’s because I prefer something traditional on boys and a little more unique on girls. I really like it though, and I think it would be interesting to meet someone named [name]Arbor[/name].
