[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and has already totally vetoed it, but itās a word/nature name that I am actually diggingā¦ pun intended.
Iām personally not big on most of the [name_u]River[/name_u], [name_u]Ocean[/name_u], [name_u]Sky[/name_u] types of names, but [name_u]Arbor[/name_u] just feels different. [name_f]My[/name_f] husbandās family is all really big into gardening and plants, his grandparents used to own a nursery. I thought it would have had a cute sentiment, plus it sounds sort of similar to [name_u]Arthur[/name_u], which has been on our list but is iffy due to popularity.
Now I just feel like I need to see other peopleās opinions on whether or not itās a completely out there name. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband said he would call the child ātreeā if that was his name. [name_f]My[/name_f] parents said āthatās an occupation, not a name,ā but my brotherās name is Masonā¦ so. They donāt have much room talking there.
I donāt really care for the way it feels to say it. Itās hard to say fast and gets smashed into something other than itās original cacophany of Rs. Is there another R name you might like?
I like it! I have an [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] and donāt feel like itās too popular (we know only one other, 8 years older and across the country) but [name_u]Arbor[/name_u] is a fun, naturey alternative. Technically an arborist is the occupation, so I think youāre safe on that count anyway.
i love it! even though itās a rare name, like you mentioned, the sounds are so similar to more popular names that it fits right in! i would love to meet a little boy named arbor!!
